Asia has a huge dive meta now and very few hogs, that's why brig shines there more than here in europe, but she's still underrated for sure

When Brig damages an enemy, her passive ability "inspire" activates, healing in an area around her. The swinging clears visual clutter and gives you the chance of hitting any random enemies that might appear in front of you, so it's become a habit of brig players👍 A lot of people have been asking why Hyunb keeps swinging the flail while running around, so I'll be pinning this here.

You must stay alive as Brig to max her benefit. It’s a completely different way of playing but she’s mad fun and when things go well it’s most satisfying out of all supports.

Brig is so much fun! I'm not even high rank, but used to be diamond Rein in ow1 so it scratches a similar itch. I always felt people underestimate just how far you can travel with her shield dash (you can also glitch up on surfaces you can't stand on and fly either really far or high). Mightyy which is top 500 junker queen EU also says he likes playing with a good Brig. When hog gets nerfed we might just see junker queen with Brig. Will be interesting to see your Junker Queen video, I think people severely underestimate her as well. She has huge damage potential in short bursts and a lot of sustain *until* she gets hit by CC or anti. I think I like Genji following up with blade after I ult with Queen most, since he can utilize the chaos that Junker Queen ult can create

I’m a tank player but this guy’s Brig makes me want to play her more.

I really enjoy playing brig even before her buff. I can't explain why but she is somehow fun to play with for me. One thing I really just hate about her is she only has 200 HP compared to other brawl characters that has 250 HP. She literally has to go upclose ang fight and her 300HP shield is easily destroyed though it really brings down on how you position yourself but I just hate that she is somewhat squishy.

As a junker queen main I quickly realized how well her kit syncs with brigs. I always ask for brig now.

Brig is my highest winrate as support, yet i hear every other game that i should Switch off if we want to win.

I've always seen Brig as a weird mix of all 3 classes. She has a shield and... Well, better HP than a lot of non-tank characters, she has decent damage and a passive about damage, she has decent mobility, and she can heal. It's super hard to not just balance that, but to use each of those aspects to their fullest. People who main Brig (and don't play like there's a cat on their keyboard) have my respect lol

So I've been messing around with this playstyle in NA. MMR is GM range usually play against a mix of masters, GM and top 500. Fundamentals for the gameplay still apply even if results change. Essentially what's in the video is how it works except going more aggressive is encouraged especially with tanks going for picks constantly. You can use your movment to go dps the backline and get out. It can really work against snipers too; you end up taking high ground from them, safely scouting them or getting a pick on them. The playstyle ends up being like DPS Moria/off-tank hybrid. However this only works if your other support can stay alive enough or your DPS takes advantage of the space and attention you're taking. Not really sure how well it'll catch in NA, maybe in a Junkerqueen meta. One really interesting match up is Zen. It ends up being a really complex 1v1 that ends up feeling more like a fighting game. You have to use shield to avoid shots and discord while getting in close. But you don't want to get in too close because he can kick you out of range and kill you after. So you end up wanting to stay in a specific range and pay attention to your spacing. You can also use your shield bash to counter the kick boop but you end up not getting the damage and you don't have an escape. He can also kill you if you just go for straight for the combo while he's shooting you so it's better to use your shield a bit and hit between shots if you can. Still it's fairly easy if you get the drop on him.

Great video and gameplay! It’d be interesting to see how they deal with heroes that counter brig better rather than winston who is probably the best tank for brig to play against. From the top brig’s I’ve seen, someone like holyshiftkid is super defensive and passive which I don’t mind but can’t be very difficult to get value, whereas someone like violet is a lot more aggressive and, although it’s easier to get value that way, I don’t like that play style as much, I feel like there are other support heroes who could be better for that. However, this player sort of combines the two, their decision making is next to perfect and they play both very defensive and also aggressive depending on the situation. I like this a lot more than the brig gameplay I’ve seen previously and clearly it’s effective but, like I said, I’d like to see how they deal with different team comps, I think that’d be interesting.

I only started playing Overwatch 3 days ago, but I straight up fell in love with her play style almost immediately. I'm glad to see a video that confirms how I thought she was meant to be played, as I have been playing very similarly to the guy in the vid. ( Granted, its at a much lower level) I'm still a ways off from being comfortable running ranked, but I've had many really good quick play matches while using her. XD

I think what sucks is that playing Brig requires that the rest of your team are half competent. As someone in low elo, I never feel I can play Brig or even Lucio most of the time because people are taking too much damage and require constant attention. That being said, this video has given me some ideas about how to prevent damage from being done in the first place by preventing engages and displacing pushes. Maybe something to think about.

I've been playing brig in overwatch 2 even in first season. I used her to disrupt sombras sneaking in the backline by constantly using my primary fire whenever I had nothing to do better. I still use her whenever I don't know what to play really because I have fun with her and she can be a threat to divers/flankers. I think people just doesn't realized how good brig is even after the changes made from Ow1 to Ow2

I started one tricking brig like 8-10 days ago, I used to be a big brig player on console but when I came to pc I didn’t like her. I’ve been watching and YouTubing lots of brig content. HSK is also an insane brig player (#1 on NA ladder now that violet doesn’t play as much) and I’ve been watching his unranked to gm. In the last 10 days I’ve climbed 5 STD just by shifting my positioning and prioritizing not dying. This is also my favorite map to play as brig. Awesome content my dude

I would love to see a Season 9 update video on Brig play, as always people are divided right now on if Brig is the best support, or needs balancing help lol. My personal frustration would be melee not receiving proportional damage to ranged heros' buff and not being able to combo heros anymore, they require too many more hits. So it would be super interesting to see a pros take on her right now! I wonder if they play more defensively now, more scared to take any engagement or duel (I personally am since it is way more easy to die now if you do not play perfectly), or relatively the same as before.

I've been maining Brig since the shield buff. She is legit a sleeper pick right now.

As support main I haven't played Brig for a looong time. So for the past 2 weeks I only play Brig and I can say that she is super underrated. If you know how to play her I easily do 10-18k healing in a game and even outheal Lucios and Mercys. Actually for me her healing is much better than Lucio's since not only you have the same kit as him (on ability hit or mele hit) but you also have kinda instant heal with her ability. The only problem is her Shield bash and that as of now it is only good for mobility. Man I miss the stun. For me if they put a ministun (even for 0.5 or something) she will be back at top tier levels. Why would I have this ability if I can't stop Reaper's ultimate or stop the Tracer behind me. I know Blizzard hate stuns in OW2 but even it is so low just to cancel ability she will be much more useful.

I have always said brig is good just not her meta. But if played well she is insane at protecting your teammates from dives which is why this vod showed her effectiveness against winton.

Couple OW2 streamers have been saying this which is Brig is a highly underrated hero that has a pretty good kit but it’s just the current meta aka hog doesn’t suit Brig. I enjoy playing brig a lot on unranked but on ranked I’m in Silver which more often than not the other support is a dps Moira or Zen meaning I forced to play another support with more healing. I honestly really hopeful to be able to use brig more when hog gets nerfed.

You need to know when to switch off brig too, I seen far too many Brigs get rolled and not switch off. Like if the enemy team using long range, yeah.

Very good analysis of this gameplay. I only have one question, why is holding The High Ground on that map so important. I'm a pretty low ranked player and it seems like every time my team tries to hold that High Ground position the enemy team ends up just completely running past us

Finally a good Brig player! I watch even top players in OW2 play Brig and they're out of their element. It's funny because it feels like you have to onetrick the hero to be good enough to get value, even though she's a """"low skill hero"""". Soooo fun to play too!

the 50 shield buff is huge when you realize 25 hp was enough to push brig into "unstoppable tank" territory. she wont be unstoppable, but its a really nifty buff

I feel like her hp pack E could use a slight buff, like reduced cooldown or increased capacity. I would love to play brig but I feel like she gets countered easily for long-range maps and dps

Nice video, but I think I keep seeing optical flow artifacts when in theory there shouldn’t be one (at real-time segments). Makes me kinda dizzy ngl.

As a Top500 Brig i can say she literally destroys Ball. Shield dash can remove all inertion of ball and thats a complete game changer, her whip can also stop him from diving in a seccond or just push him out, fast brig's cd makes ball literally useless against her. using her abilities in right moments u can protect ur team from ball solo that makes fights almost 5v4 with no tank. The only hard counter to Brig is Pharah and Echo but Tracer and Widow can also be annoying. For a new Brig players i'd recommend to remember that she isnt tank and has only 200hp, few accurate shots can send u to respawn so play as Heal/Control and try to kill only when u see alone/1 shot enemy. One more thing: Ur shield can often save ur mates from death so dont forget to protect them in situation like when Mercy is resing or if someone got in trap, etc.
