The warmer sound signature is more analogue and much pleasant to me. This is the main reason, why I decided to buy D8000. Have a nice weekend!!! As always 👍
Hyde Hoang the triple comfort to me reduced the treble ever so slightly kind of like comply tips but to a lesser degree. The triple are also more comfortable
@@djhmax09 thanks. I also hear the same. I don't have much experience with IEM but TC tips make M9 feel more dynamic to my ears. Still trying to decide between this and RHA CL2
@@hydehoang4597 so you own both and are trying to decide what to keep? Or do you mean you've demoed them? If it helps, I love my m9 more and more. At first they were alright and as time passed by I ended up liking them more and more. However, they are not worth more than a thousand imo coming from Fearless audio s8f. I don't regret buying them though for now...
Ahhh that's a really good question-- it's a hard one for me to answer because some IEMs are better or worse at different things, ya know? What kind of sound signature? I can better answer what the best ones are for a given sound signature, in my opinion.
Oh dope! So glad ya like them! Yes-- here are the Spotify and Tidal playlist links: Spotify Playlist: open.spotify.com/playlist/64M8RuUChwBepQzEQZIQw0?si=D3gVDdqrTzuhnm5jBkUe_w Tidal Playlist: tidal.com/playlist/ff2df26d-7f31-4c27-9d3f-f96fdabc54a1
I’d love to know how the Sony IER-M9 compares to the CCA A10. They also have 5 BA drivers per ear and are considered an improvement to the current all BA budget king the CCA C16. 2 treble BA drivers, 2 midrange BA drivers and one sub. I have the A10 and they are BRIGHT. I toned them down with a small felt filter but they need a bit more attenuation. The sub bass can be very impressive when called for. I might try some Ostry treble filter silicone tips. I prefer to use Sony Hybrids but so far I have to use foams due to the treble levels. It would be interesting to know how a $1500 Japanese all Balanced Armature iem compares to a $40 street price all BA Chinese iem with no marketing, distributor and dealer/retail markup. The way you described these seems very close to the A10. I got my pair on Aliexpress for $39 from EE Store. Great service if you’ve never shopped on AE before.
Good question!~! I'm going to do a comparison between these and the Solaris (because they are at the same price point) but will be sure to take a listen to the Andromeda at the same time :)
@@DrKrFfXx000000000000 heya!! Pardon the delay-- as it turns out, I had to give back the rai penta and so didn't have have the CA's at the same time. Buttttt I do plan on getting them both at the same time (hopefully within a few weeks???) so I can do proper comparison reviews. However, from my memory, it had a more natural sound than the Andromeda, whereas the Andro had more character. The Ando had more high-mid presence and lower treble presence but the Rai Penta had more of a realistic feel. Both very dynamic with nice soundstages. Compared to Solaris, one super noticeable difference is that the low end felt tighter with the Rai Penta. With the Solaris, it had great extension, but seemed a little vague sounding at times. I don't wanna speak on the soundstage because both seemed really good, and I definitely wanna listen side by side before commenting on it.
@@DrKrFfXx000000000000 oh goshhh my bad!! I got confused in all my comments! I forgot to drop the link here for ya! Here ya go! majorhifi.com/sony-ier-m9-vs-campfire-audio-solaris-comparison-review/
Despite being the wrong side of 50, I can't tolerate headphones/IEM's with too bright a sound, I prefer them warmer, but I guess there has to be treble, but not sharp or piercing...if that makes sense!
@@leetaipe Huh interesting! i heard a lot of brightness with these. Maybe it depends on the part of the high-mids and highs that were emphasized? because these have different emphasis than the others for sure but def had a good amount of high frequency energy for my ears. However, admittedly, your ears agree more with my colleague's review! Check it out!
@@MajorHiFi yeah well, the overall tonal balance perception depends on many factors: starting from your individual sound preferences and ending with a DAP pairing. I would actually describe the Fiio x7-2 as being on the brighter side, maybe that gave you the additional highs boost. Im mainly listening it with my Cowon Plenue M2 which has a more rolled off, relaxed treble, maybe that plays a role. Also, I use Final Audio E-type tips and some effect audio hybrid cable(which, in my opinion, boosts the overall sound quality quite a bit). Anyway, thanks for the great review, it's always a pleasure to listen to you.
@@leetaipe Right on! Yes, most definitely!! Thanks for sharing your experience! So so so important for everyone considering these. I really appreciate it
@@MajorHiFi ohh you must try it, so far in my opinion it is the best neutral and flat of iem. i combined it with Astell&Kern SE100, it is a pure heaven.
I review products for everyone-- high end, middle-of-the-road, and budget audiophile. Will have a more affordable IEM next week! But this is an audiophile channel, so definitely expect more high-end reviews in the future as well.
I'm an average person and I bought the IER-M9. It's called Amazon credit dude. Pay them off in a year and pay no interest. They are worth every cent of their asking price. Best headphone I've ever owned.
@@djhmax09 I've got some Chifi cans, the SendyAudio Aiva. Amazing cans for the money. I've heard a couple of the Fearless IEMs too. Amazing value but they can't compete with the TOTL big boys.
