I've used the Laura Geller powder foundation for about 3 years now..i love it! I apply my concealer first, though. My skin is normal to dry and it's "mature", too. I never have any issues with the powder looking dry or flaky. It's the only foundation I'll use!😊
I freakin love LG products. They're the only makeup that I can wear that doesn't look flakey over my scarring from rosacea and it doesn't cause flareups at all. I'm so damn happy with it. It's light to medium coverage, but the tiniest dot of the LG concealer, a bit of cheap primer and the powder removes all that ten alarm redness and makes the bumps/scarring look more natural. And as a 40-something old fart, can I say I LOVE that someone with gorgeous young skin isn't 'turned off' by the fact that it's marketed mainly to people who have mature or damaged skin. I love that it's made "for me", but like you said of *course* if it's good for us it's gonna be gorgeous on you as well. Go nuts, everyone deserves beautiful makeup that is comfortable and easy to wear! I agree about the hot weather too, it's been high 30's Celsius in *and raining* in Melbourne, and the makeup is surviving much better than I am! 🤣🤣🥵🥵🤣🤣 Just a quick pat with the brush or a dry sponge and it just blends right back in again, no more product needed. Some days it even looks *better* after a few hours, kind of like the oils in my skin turn it into a really light cream foundation lol. IT's SO GOOD!
I just bought a lot of Laura Geller items for my face, eyes and lips. My husband thought it was so lovely. It was easy and fast so it is for me. Happy Happy!!
Very nice, I might have to try! I live on the West Coast of Florida and this heat will literally melt any and all makeup on my face. TY for the recommendation.
They have a primer which is brilliant. I haven't even needed a setting spray with the horrid humid heatwave we've had in Melbourne this week. Just a thin smear of primer, wait a few mins then powder over the top. If it starts to look a little 'dewy' from the heat and humidity a quick blot with the same brush or a dry sponge smooths it all out again. It's the most awesomely bizarre makeup ever. A powder shouldn't act like this, but it does!
@@noctoiTY! I got this in the Ipsy shop and I fell in LOVE with it! It really does stay on in the Florida heat! TY for the tip about their primer and the powder trick.
Yari! Girl! I just love your quirky sense of humor and way of speaking! You are too funny! I learn so much from your videos. I'm so glad your oral surgery went well. I knew you could do it! ❤😂🎉❤
Thank you for this! LG’s Balance and Brighten is (and has been) my foundation of choice for quite some time. ESPECIALLY during warm weather. Her INKCredible Eyeliner pencils get top marks too!
You are SUCH an enabler! You should make merch 'Yari made me buy it'. The humidity and liquid foundation just doesn't mix, so thank you for this wear test review. I know I can trust your reviews, and I'm off to Ipsy now. lol
Looks really great even up to the very end of yr day! I’ve wanted to try this product out. Ty for doing the wear test. Now I know I can buy it. Glad yr feeling better. Sorry about u not getting yr Palette from the Ipsy Mega Drop Shop. At least they refunded u. Their CS is excellent. See u on the next one. Ty for doing this video ❤❤
I was inspired by your video and order a powder foundation. I just received it today and I'm so flipping excited to try it! I'm in San Antonio Texas and girl it's been in the 100s over here. Today it got up to 107...it's just too much!! Thanks for recommending. Your the best Yari!
Does anyone think she looks more beautiful without all the makeup? She has such nice features that get covered up. If I looked like her, I would totally rock the natural look.
Absolutely love this foundation! I’ve tried a lot of foundations looking for the perfect one and this is it. I have combination mature skin. This is not dry or Cakey looking on. It looks as good at the end of the day as when I first put it on. I am now interested in trying out her baked blushes (ordered one today). Hgihly recommend this foundation!
I’ve just received the Porcelain in the mail today and just tried it and for a person who hates foundation, I too think it looks very nice. I’m a 73 year old, I can still see my wrinkles but I’m very happy with it.
I’m a couple years older than you and also use Porcelain. I used Bare Minerals prior to trying LG and can’t believe the difference - I love it! BM settled into my wrinkles so I looked horrible pretty quickly, but LG looks great even at the end of the day. This is definitely a keeper!
Hi Yari im so happy your feeling better abd you look beautiful as always❤❤❤ I honestly think the make up looks good i have psoriasis and i get patches on my face so i would love to know if this would help cover it. I get so embarrassed and it gives me a complex because i think everyone is looking at me!
Aren’t you supposed to put all of your liquids on prior to a Powder Foundation? This is one of 3 Powder Foundations I am obsessed with and I LOVE it. I put all of creams and liquids on before my powder foundation. I couldn’t ever get Powder Foundations to work before I started using either that Bloomeffects Tulip Dew Cream or Glow Recipe Watermelon Dew Drops as my skin prep!
That's the beauty of makeup. You can experiment. Yes, in most cases liquids and creams under powder makes more sense. However, as formulas evolve there are more and more formulas that work beautifully when creams are applied over powders. So in many cases it will depend on the tool and process being used to apply the products.
I put liquid products over powder all the time and have never had a problem. I’ve always heard that you’re supposed to use liquid first, but I’ve been doing it ‘wrong’ for years and it’s been fine. I just got the Laura Geller a few weeks ago and so far I’m very happy with it!
I just filmed a try on of the LG powder foundation and I did not like it. It didn't feel or look dry but the issue I had is that it didn't even out my complexion. I still saw redness, freckles and hyperpigmentation. I think if you have a more even skin tone to begin with like you do it looks great, but if you are fair like I am with redness and an uneven complexion it doesn't look as good.
Have you tried it with a color Correcting base? Loreal has a great one. Maybe that will help compensate for the lack of color correction on your skin? 🤔
@@YariG Great suggestion however at the point that is too much work. I'd prefer to just use my favorite BB cream (Purito) and get more coverage, dewy skin and be done with my face in less time. I'm the target audience at 56 years old but I did not like how this looked on my skin. It looked beautiful on you though! ❤
I'm getting ready to purchase it on Poshmark, but how did it work for you? I'll be 63 in a couple of months. My worry is that I will pick the wrong shade. Any suggestions/recommendations please?
Do you think it would be a good product for a person with very large pores? (Okay my pores are probably just large not very large But to me they look humongous)
I have been using Laura Geller for years. Love ir! I will use forever! I am 63 and have dry skin. Thyroiid disease. This is the best! And I travel for work and my skin looks flawless all day! I live in the Los Angeles area.
I have a few light veins under my eyes so would this work as a one and done? I don’t wear foundation but need concealer and that’s just another story 😅
You look fabulous as usual. I’m using this foundation now and I really like it. I also use the shade Sand. Thank you for sharing the products with us. It helps me a lot. I do have mature skin and it works well for me so far. Keep the videos coming!!
I’m always suspicious of brands that don’t sell stock in main stores- and with that many reviews. I feel if it was good it would have broken into the mainstream beyond a tv shopping channel
I shared that the brand said the foundation is for all skin type. I never agreed to that statement. I personally liked the foundation. But if you take a look at the video, I didn't say this is going to work for every single person go get it. I also showed you how it wore on normal combo skin. I got oily yet I still liked the foundation. My reviews are 100% honest and based on my opinion. I also asked everyone to share their personal experiences with others so we could get a better idea on how this foundation actually works.
@@YariGI’m 75 with dry skin and this foundation is definitely a keeper for me. I used to use Bare Minerals and it doesn’t hold a candle to LG. BM settled into my wrinkles right away and LG doesn’t. Love it!
