Coming up in this Brightline construction update, I look at the progress on the Sebastian River bridge in Roseland, FL including the installation of the final two girders. This work is being done as part of the double tracking of the Florida East Coast Railway for Brightline's Orlando expansion.

As someone who used to back up trucks for a living, I have nothing but respect for the driver that backed so straight all the way across the work trestle. That was no small feat.

I got the feeling he was using the shadows of the guard rail on the work trestle as a guide to keeping 'on track'.

Delivered concrete for the piers a couple of months ago. I don't mind admitting that the sphincter muscle does tighten up when reversing across those wooden beams.

I think I recognized some of the same people were working on all 3 bridges who were probably the girder installation experts so that's probably why they were spread out over a few weeks

This is the third final bridge we’ve been lucky to see recently. Bright lines is a gift to Florida and especially the East Coast we get nothing on the West Coast.

Kudos to all the workers setting the girders in place and the crane operator is amazing with such control on the boom and slings ! This entire project has been one of the most interesting things I have witnessed in many years and I look forward to many more updates. Florida East Coast Railway and Brightline's partnership is proving to be a winning combination and a shining star for all railway construction in the nation. Your spot on coverage of this historic event is always amazing and thank you for all your time, labor and love of this project. Your documentation of this project should be awarded a gold medal .... and a lifetime pass on Brightline !!! Great Job !

I did the math. That truck with the final girder had to go almost a quarter mile. Slowest drag race ever. The wind didn't seem to be as much of a factor, compared to last week at the Eau Galle River. This installation seemed to go faster.

Love how it has worked out that all the bridges are completing around the same time. What is the estimated completion date for all 3 (new Orlando line, fec double tracking and the 2 new stations down south (I believe they are almost ready))? Loving the series of videos on the whole project, thanks for all the work and effort, Brian from Scotland

Full Orlando expansion will open in 2023. New Aventura and Boca Raton stations open this upcoming Wednesday, December 21.
