Thanks for the update! That little mock-up area to show the different building materials and finishes is a great idea. I wonder if that's common on construction projects like this. Has there been any decision on a route from here to Disney Springs? I know there are residents opposed to Brightline's preferred route, and I think there were local politicians trying to route it past the convention center and get a stop there as well.
seems that local politicians don't realize that the point of a high speed rail is to minimize stations.. What they really should do is work with Brightline to see about a spur that runs from the airport to the convention center and Universal..after a long ride from Miami to Orlando with the intent of getting to Disney, the last thing I want are two close stops to a competing theme park and a convention center. The Orlando airport has a bit of space.. why not use it..
I think the “local” resistance is being lead by business on I drive. I checked out their website and I think they have done a lot of fear mongering to the residents to get them to back down. Their videos on RU-vid all have comments turned off so you can’t discuss it in the comments. They really should be trying to build a light rail or above ground metro to connect up more of the area

@@RoamingRailfan good point! I am a hockey fan, excited that the NHL all star game is in sunrise next Feb. I am hoping to ride the trains and catch some hockey! Premium class seems a steal right now for the price.
11:55-I the track leads back to the station at Orlando International, where does the proposed extension to Disney World and Tampa pass by? It can’t go through the maintenance facility (realizing the route to Disney World and Tampa Union Station hasn’t been decided yet), and I’m assuming that it’ll stop at the Orlando airport station…
Awesome update. Wonder with a facility this big if they’re consider buying a locomotive for switching the facility instead of having to use the chargers all the time
Great video. Thanks for all your efforts. This is bringing the whole project so much closer. Will the future Tampa extension of Brightline pass through this site, or will that be on a different routing? The approach from the airport looks as if it is set up for a future double tracking.
