Hey man good video. You over extend yourself in your short corners a bit and go quiet after the initial attack. Work on that bro and youll benefit heaps. Yeah stepping out makes you bigger and the goals smaller but those side angles become that much more open. I tend to go about 1/3 of the way to the dot in all situations as I can still extend my legs to make the save. Keep it up man

The great thing about recording your games is you get to analyse and think about what you could have done differently. It's been said before on your videos that you come out too far on corners. The second goal should be a learning exercise for you. If you stay closer to your line initially then if the ball is slipped left or right then you can step across with a big barrier rather than reaching with your stick. If the initial slip pass or blocked shot opens up a 1v1 THEN attack with full vigour! And this is coming from a guy who regularly makes tackles with his stick outside the D, so don't think i'm advising you be a boring 'play it safe' keeper! Ask your 1s keeper for his opinion
Cheers Paul, yeah it really was a learning curve for me. The one specially, i was sure i had closed down the shooter and would have made the save but i didn't predict it would get blocked and take the ball away from me. Interesting stuff for the future...
@@AlexWitty you should take a look to top internacional goalies. They never are too far from the goal line in the penalty corner. Think about you have more time to react if you are 12 meters to the shoot than 9. You can try to be in the line or just one meter forward tonight in short corner practice and probably you'll surprised!
On the short corners you are stepping out too far the oppositions second goal could have possibly not gone in if you would have come out one or two steps out of your goal. By coming three-four spaces off your line when it moves to wide areas the goal is left too open and is really difficult to save shots from, good saves in there though. You watch the best goalkeepers Harte, Stockmann, Pinner, Vanasch etc they take one step out for a corner because they cover the goal more.
