Well done for this detailed report, which even includes the unusual First Class seating de-classifications on Thameslink. You’re right to highlight Thameslink as an impressive line running through central London. Hopefully you also saw the new Crossrail service in London, ‘Elizabeth Line’.
Absolutely I also saw the crosstail service, I want to include that in another video. For this video / weekend I've planned some trips on routes I took before I started this RU-vid channel. Apart from, that I do have 2 weekend schedule in the UK for probably this spring where I'll be feautirng more long distance trains (Avanti west coast, Scott rail intercity, Cross County and GWR) and something that includes Ireland as well. So many plans for the UK to come where I can make videos on routes where trains and airlines are serious competitors for each other (and hopefully convince people to take the train).
Thank you for a very informative video. May I ask a question? Do you know if it possible to tap my card at the Gatwick airport to get to Brighton? Or do I need an e-ticket or buy a physical ticket?
@@Trainviking luckily the first class section (more suitable for long journeys) at the back of these trains (relative to direction of travel) is ALWAYS declassified, so you can ride in there with a standard class ticket. Quite a nice gesture from Thameslink for the few people who do travel long distance on these trains.
