JUST BECAUSE SHE DISLIKE ISLAMISTS DOESN'T MAKE HER A RACIST ! ISLAM IS NOT A RACE, IT'S A RELIGION. AND SHE IS NOT RACIST - She's a lovely lady but she's kind of a misanthrope now. She's sick of the world. She's had it up to here with everyone except for her husband. And she's an animal rights activist. And in France she launched campaigns against ritual slaughter practices that do not first stun the animal, in the country with the largest Muslim populations in Europe, namely FRANCE..
Classy? She threw her son aside, didn’t want to be a mom, and was a rebellious child that ran off with older men at age 15. Nothing to admire here. She runs a rescue for animals, so I’ll give get points for that.
Not always. Joan Crawford had some rather harsh things to say about Marilyn and even Elizabeth Taylor. Joan always thought of herself a lady and was very critical of those she felt didn't live up to her standards. Of course Joan was a huge hypocrite who conveniently forgot some of the not so lady like things she did in her early career.
+PatrickLHawkins I love the story of Bette Davis saying that she likes to play bitches because she isn't a bitch, then she says "that's probably why miss Crawford likes to play Ladies 😁
Lovely words from Brigitte. What a sight that must've been, Marilyn Monroe and Brigitte Bardot touching up their make up together, in Buckingham Palace no less!
That was some of the kindest words (which I believe she deserves) that I've ever heard any of Marilyn's contemporaries speak of her.Miss Bardot was very eloquent in her description, very touching.♡♡♡.
I believe Jane Russell was also very fond of her, in interviews she would praise Marilyn for her beauty and talent, and expressed frustration over how Marilyn didnt get the good things what she deserved.
Brigitte has such wonderful things to say about Marilyn. I think she's right on the mark about MM being beautiful and pure, and that certain individuals around her contributed to her death. She's definitely right that MM was misunderstood. It's wonderful that Brigitte truly admires MM and that there's no jealousy. BB and MM were both good actresses and sex goddesses, but they were very different. I admire BB even more after seeing this.
+Jodie Hudson BB was better looking in her day but she is kind to the memory of a death person , what she will do the same thing anita Ekberg did in 1999 said terrible thing of MM and BB
+elluc1510 BB will never be rude and I will never be rude to MM ,I think BB was more beautiful but the true is not been rude, Marilyn die before Iwas born so I respect the death
Bb always knew she was in a dangerous world and had the guts to retire, right in the limelight, to avoid the sharks. The media and all the French Hollywood hold a grudge on her since then. Very strong woman.
She just had a nose job and dyed her hair blonde. You can't even tell the difference, the magic was with the make-up. Not one of them were as beautiful without make-up.
Marilyn was still cute before she had all the work done. She had a nose job, chin implant, hairline raised by electrolysis, and then a dye job -strawberry blond before finally settling upon platinum like her idol, Jean Harlow.
keebler graham Well done on repeating gossip that so called biographers wrote about Marilyn to boost their sales. That "nose and chin job" are rumours without ANY proof. Even the X rays presented as proof have a different woman's name on them so, even if it was Marilyn under a fake name, it simply can't be verified. It's really annoying reading comments like yours where opinions are based on gossip. Looking at pics of her as Norma Jeane and then as Marilyn shows no difference! And when someone does present "differences", it can be put down to make up or lighting. I know this can happen for a fact. Under artificial lights with shadowing, my nose can look crooked at the top. Under natural daylight, it looks dead straight but I've had no work done.
peezebeuponyou - Oh, she got the memo. She ignored it. That is one of the things no one on here is mentioning. She knew. I mean look at the dress. She wore it on purpose. Can't get much lower than that! She had real guts. She wanted to stand out, and she thought it was wrong for someone to tell her how to dress. And she was famous enough to get away with it and she knew it.
It seems Marilyn was greatly admired and respected by her fellow sex sirens. Sophia Loren said in her autobiography that she adored Marilyn and wanted to be her friend. She wrote that her husband knew she would take Marilyn's death hard, so he slowly broke the news to her in fragments to prepare her. First he told her that Marilyn wasn't well and slowly escalated the news to her death. Sophia said she was crushed because she would never get the chance to meet Marilyn.
cisio64123 ha ha ha. You haven’t yet learned that women don’t always speak the truth, particularly about themselves and their feelings and especially in TV interviews
@@natsalta She was breathtakingly beautiful. She was used and abused for that beauty by both men and women. Men for their carnal desires and women out of their innate insecurity. Notice how all the people praising and remembering Marilyn fondly now happen to be women. If these women really loved her to the extent they claim ,they would have protected Marilyn at the time. But no,they were either jealous of Marilyn and talked of her as a ho and not a thespian or were too selfish to jeopardize their own career by stepping on the toes of powerful men who were fucking Marilyn. All this virtue signalling happened only after Marilyn died. It's disgusting. Both men and women of the showbiz are equally responsible. Now to answer your question, she is praised because she was a victim not because she was a heroine.
+blacktigerpaw1 Agree. Notice I did say the Queen was mesmerized by her AND by her beauty. Marilyn just shone with charm and personality. Interesting to note that Marilyn and the Queen were both born in 1926 and were the same age at this meeting!
She is so honest, unassuming and humble about herself yet she is beautiful and oozing with sex appeal herself in her youth. She has a beautiful heart! Kudos to you, Miss Bardot. Physical beauty may fade but a heart that is inherently good stays beautiful forever.
I admire the way that Brigitte Bardot let herself grow old naturally and not get numerous facelifts and Botox injections. I did see a picture of her recently as a woman of over eighty. I can only hope that I will look as good as her when I reach that age. I also admire her stand on animal rights and her refusal to wear für coats as far back as the seventies. Bravo Brigitte.
@@franceskronenwett3539 Brigitte was wise and ahead of her time. She knew from an early age that it would be dumb to base her worth and happiness on looking like a hot 20 yo, cause it’s temporary and there will always be a woman prettier and younger than you. She gave up on her career at 35 and started focusing on saving animals, instead of constantly chasing youth and beauty, which is why aging didn’t bother her like it does to many famous stunning women, that sometimes kill themselves for loosing their pretty privileges.
@@babycherry8103 I totally agree with you. I admire the way Brigitte campaigned for the rights of animals. Apparently she had a row with another famous diva, namely Sophia Loren, because this lady was wearing a fur coat. Brigitte still looks beautiful as an elderly lady.
@@franceskronenwett3539 i think this woman wasn’t Sofia Loren but Christina cordula, a famous Brazilian-french stylist who said there was nothing wrong with wearing real animal fur coat
Marlene Dietrich also was very fond of Marilyn and said kind things about her, they were photographed together in a rare late 1950's photo. Dietrich was, as her daughter stated, not very free with the compliments on other female stars, but she thought Marilyn was beautiful and was interested in making friends with her and Katherine Hepburn.
My great aunt has a photo of her with Marilyn and Marlene together , this is one hell of a family heirloom . She worked for a very famous french haute couture house and has been able to meet the greatest. Including Bardot in her finest years (who apparently was a total bitch) , but also in her youth she met , Joan Crawford , Rita Hayworth, Garbo, Davies, Elizabeth Taylor, Grant, Brando , Dean , Delon, and even Elvis and has photos with all of them . I met Madonna once and showed the photo to my great aunt, she looked at me and asked me who that was .
Marlene was BI, so she was hot for Marilyn. Marilyn turned down Joan Crawford. Marlene thought Hedy Lamarr was the most beautiful and there is a picture of them kissing on the set of one of Marlene's movie...and Billy Wilder was enjoying it.
BB seems like a very kind woman. MM was too trusting, but a lovely person. Queen Elizabeth was beautiful when she was young and holds her own in a room of celebrities.
Bardot is such a sweet human being! Every now and and then I've got to watch this video again because she speaks of Marilyn in the cutest way... Well, needless to say they're both timeless icons and their legacy will never die. 💜
Brigitte Bardot and Marilyn Monroe together, what a gathering of female beauty! This wonderful comment of Brigitte Bardot shows, beautiful on the outside as well inside!
So interesting that she was meeting the queen, as was so awe struck by Marilyn. I would love/hate to live in those times and be famous! So crazy! I love Marilyn. And I love the French way of saying her name, Brigitte... I want to name my child that.
This lady really is amazing, put her own beauty aside to beautifully describe Marilyn Monroe's beauty and personality in a very admirable way. We all have seeing how others singers and actresses have emulated Marilyn, only to fail miserable.
Picture this one second. You are a mirror in a washroom, suddenly BB and MM come in then, side by side and inches away from you, they both start staring at you!! Wow..! Feels like I wouldn't have enough eyes to watch.
I adore both of these gorgeous women and Brigitte is so beautiful and I gave my daughter her middle name as it's so beautiful and I adore the French and Brigitte Bardot :) she is so beautiful ;)
Only a woman like Bardot is capable of understanding a woman like Marilyn. Two of the greatest beauties of the twentieth century, rivalled only by Deneuve.
Marilyn Monroe and Brigitte Bardot were both sublime creatures. Both breathtakingly beautiful. Bardot tries to save animals. Monroe was the first female movie star ro create her own production company so that she could have vehicles for her talent such as "Bustop" which her production company produced. These are two wonderful people.
Such a great woman is Briggite Bardot in every aspect of life....in my country she took care of bears in captivity, providing them with a natural reserve. For me she is incredible person!
And nobody thought to take their pictures together? Shame. Very humble touching interview from Bardot. I always related more to Bardot than MM in terms of looks and style
Anita Eckberg, Brigitte Bardot, Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Queen of England in one room. Wow... I love how Brigitte talks about Marilyn. Makes me smile :)
Marilyn was loved by men because she was beautiful and sexy. She was loved by women because she was so lovely and at the same time so vulnerable. I admired the way that Brigitte Bardot spoke about her in such a nice way. Brigitte was also a sex symbol in the fifties and sixties and just as lovely as Marilyn was. They do not make such incredible film divas like that any longer, more's the pity.
Brigitte Bardot, Marilyn Monroe, and Anita Ekberg all in the same place. WOW!!! I should have been there even though I was only 6 years old at the time.
@@mattkierkegaard9403 What are you talking about? She was always beautiful, why do you think she got famous in the first place? Because of her ravishing beauty and also very talented and charismatic
Miss Brigitte speak a true from her honest heart, d way what she felt n think about sMM star as BB was herself, but maybe kz she was from Europa she felt inferior to MM...but I dont think so , they are both prefect ladys n beautys of that time, legends for good......Thanky You both for beign what U were , but BB is still alive n do great job with animals , God bless !
+Job Hd Jane Fonda was a sex symbol for a short while after a cult film in the 60`s, she also was gobsmacked by Monroe`s beauty, she met her at the method acting school that Al Pacino`s mentor created! Fonda said when Monroe walked into a room men would shake with desire! Wow!
Job Hd Allow to say that you are mistaken, some women might be jealous or envious but most appreciate each others beauty and grace, arrogance is what we cannot .
Wonderful anecdote. Two legends of the screen crossing paths at Buckingham Palace. Although beautiful, both were talented women & both could sing & dance. It would've been great if they'd done a film together. Love to two icons, BB & MM Xx
Très bel hommage. Merci Mme Bardot. Depuis mon enfance je admiratif de M.Monroe, j'ai pratiquement tous les bouquins sérieux la concernant. Hollywood l'a assassinée tout simplement.
That's a Lady! She says that she feels with respect , she is not afraid to recognize the beauty and the talent frrom another woman , she speaks without jealousy.
Brigitte offers such a thoughtful, touching portrait of MM. Two beautiful ladies, inside and out...I only so wish that MM had length of years. Cheers & thanks for posting!
BB...you were not inferior to MM at all. You were, and always will be, the MM of France. But you and Elvis should have met on a weekend pass. That would have been cool. What American GI wouldn't have wanted to meet BB? I know he wanted to.
Ms. Bardot has a profoundly true and accurate account of Marilyn Monroe. This account is what gets held up in the final analysis of her life and personality, and her untimely, hastened death, which was not by her hands.
