Surely I'm not the only one who thought Rosie was like 5 when she was talking about playing Silent Hill for the first time and little Rosie was screaming and whatnot, then she's like "oh I was 16". Lmao.
I’m not one for the blocky aesthetic so that basically rules it out for me. Even with Dreams, LBP etc. I struggle with creativity as much as I would like. I don’t bother neither with character creators nowadays
Same the graphics are absolutely hideous, atrocious. There’s no uglier game in all of existence I’m convinced and that’s why I haven’t and will never touch it.
This was me. I avoided this game from day one. Didn't get the appeal didn't draw me in what do ever till just very recently. I ran out of things to play while I wait for the big titles to drop on PS5... Ended up beating the game, earning the platinum and even built a massive mansion and promptly stopped playing it again😂
@@PlayStationAccess to be fair Minecraft has the worst graphics in any game of all time even old games taken into consideration and thus I never even played Minecraft. I never knew I was a graphics snob until it existed.
@@rashonburnett6473 You can get some texture packs that make the game loooook way better and removes the pixely nature of it. I like the Sphax BD Craft, makes it look cartoony instead
@@rashonburnett6473 the new ray tracing looks really good-I'm sure as the PS5 is out longer they'll release an update to it so it's not just on PC (if they haven't already.) And as someone who grew up on *gameboy games* and whose parents had a NES in the house thanks to a nerd friend circa 90s, Minecraft's graphics are an upgrade from 8-bit at least. :P
@@PlayStationAccess Minecraft really does have a heavy learning curve. It really does not tell you much of anything about the game. Me, now? it's rather easy to deal with it because I know how to find/make what I need. If you don't know? Minecraft is ridiculously hard. I actually had a friend show me what to do the first time otherwise I'd have had no idea what to do.
I’m excited for the rob gets angry at cup head stream, mostly because the art style makes it look like a fun easy game (even though it’s hard as nails), I’ll enjoy the juxtaposition
I’m so with Nath about Minecraft, I appreciate the impact and success it’s had but nothing about it drew me in. Same with Stardew Valley, gave it a go from all the hype and only lasted 10mins
Same. I think it's fantastic it is such a popular game and can potentially bring in people who otherwise may not have played games, but it does absolutely nothing for me and I just don't see the appeal. Anyways...back to my 500 hour jrpgs.
I agree I've tried time and time again but my attention span is way too short my friends used to play it religiously but I could never get into it unless I was blowing up their stuff
I mean it’s all about creativity and building whatever you want so if you’re not creative in that particular sense you’re not gonna enjoy the game it’s simple lol
graphics don’t make a game. But a game that open-ended can be quite daunting to most people who are like “what exactly are you supposed to do?” since the point is you just “survive” and get better at “surviving” and if you want you can go for the big bosses to “finish” the game.

Nathan I'm just glad to know I'm not the only one who dislikes Minecraft. All my friends, my girlfriend, and my son all love it and I will never understand the hype for it
Same here, almost everyone I know loves it yet I'm seemingly the only one in my group that doesn't like the game after playing it for 30 minutes or so.
Do ALL of those streams! All of those stream suggestions sound great: Rosie playing Silent Hill, Ash playing Dark Souls, Rob playing Cuphead, and Nathan building a Minecraft castle.
I played the first metal gear solid when I was a young teen, and I absolutely hated it. Ten years later (and an analog controller this time), I gave it another chance and absolutely loved it
So I was around 10 years old and walked into my sister’s room while her and her boyfriend were playing the original Resident Evil 2 on ps1. I was so scared but they convinced me to have a turn. I walked around the corner in the police station and Mr X burst through the wall and attacked me, total jumpscare moment. I paused the game and was shouting angrily, betrayed that they made me play this. They promised nothing like that happens again and convinced me to keep playing. I walked out the door and Mr X smashed through another wall to get me. It was at this point I threw the control and left the room…
I got to the bit in the snow, where you had to raid the camp. Snuck all the way up to them and hid under the wooden structure. The game didn't save. Started at the top of the hill again and planned to sneak down again, my finger slipped on the trigger as I readjusted my controller and the whole pack came after me. Haven't played it since, but I'm hoping to find a reason to go back into it.
I did the same for A Machine For Pigs. The moment the dishevelled bedrooms appeared, even with no enemies around, made me so scared for what would come that I haven't been back since.
@@weskershades The best part of Machine For Pigs is Jessica Curry's utterly stellar soundtrack. It saddens me to admit that I've spent more time listening to her gorgeous music than I have played the game. The enemies in the game aren't as scary as Dark Descent and there's no sanity effects (that I remember), but the psychological mind stuffery of the game is what makes the ending so abhorrently beautiful. No spoilers, I promise, I made the mistake of learning how perfect and tragic the ending was and wanting to play the game based on that, but if you make it to the end, it is so perfectly fitting for everything that led up to it. It just takes a while to adjust to what the game hurls at you. I haven't been able to adjust to it just yet..
I think there should be a weekly bit on PlayStation Access where Ash talks about the very obscure titles that she has played over the years that no one has ever heard of.
I'm with Rosie, I still would rather watch someone play a horror game than play it myself. I agree with Nath too... just don't get it 🤔 I too, close and immediately delete, like Rob 🤣

Agree with everything Nath said on Minecraft. Also applies to Lego Worlds for me. Both give you too much freedom and not enough direction... I like my games to have a clear goal and purpose.
Minecraft gives you infinite freedom to do what you want to do you want to build a huge City you can do that Do you want to build an industrial city you can do that too you are free to build whatever you want there are no restrictions Minecraft is full of infinite possibilities.
@@CB-lw7ty you are absolutely correct been playing Minecraft for eight years I've gone from the learner to the master now other players are coming to me to ask me how to play the game I play 100% survival with peaceful because I don't want to waste my time fighting monsters I want to build with limitations
I gave up on Bloodborne on the first wolf encounter which was literally the first enemy. I eventually went back to play it again and finished the game.
I gave Minecraft a chance after I played for like an hour I'm playing the game for eight years because I gave the game another shot in 2015. Minecraft is a game of infinite possibilities that's why I love Minecraft
I was right there with you Ash with Dark souls, I had never heard of any fromsoftware games and was clueless going in to Dark souls. I got crushed right away. A big Nope from me, took out the game and never went back.
1000% with Nath. I will never try Minecraft. It’s the ugliest game ever made. It’s awesome kids love it. Their imaginations make the game look amazing in their heads. The game is hideous and I don’t see the point.
Its more of a vessel for creativity. Also the art style is good in my opinion, there is also pvp and stuff which is quite big especially minecraft championship and stuff
Played Subnautica for 15 minutes, couldn't figure out what to do and uninstalled the game. 2 years later I tried it again and couldn't put it down until I beat it.
Picked up the original Guilty Gear because it was discounted to *97 cents* a while back. Played it for an hour and absolutely hated it, uninstalled it without earning a single trophy. I don't know if it's a poor port or if the game itself is just bad but man that was a miserable experience for me. Moved onto Revelator and loved it though.
@@fhm4 I played the PS3 version of Skyrim I actually remember the long load times and how after your save file got to 8 megabytes or higher your game started to corrupt I'm happy the PS4 version was Superior to the PS3 version
Agreed. I had recently already played Kingdom of Amalur before trying Skyrim, and it felt like a far superior game. KofA was so colorful compared to all the dreary games coming out during that time.
Just recently I gave up on the Resident Evil 2 and FF7 remakes, having beaten both of the originals when they came out. They’re both so infuriatingly hard. I quit the new Doom sequel during the second stage for the same reason, even though I beat the first one. I’m starting to think I’m aging out of video games. 😔
MGS3 believe it or not. The camera angles and lack of a hud map made the game too frustrating. However, I bought MGS3: Subsistence and it's easily one of my favorite games.
Ahhh siblings 😁 I scared my brother when he was playing resident evil 3, making comments like "he's gonna bust through that wall" or going "RAH!" When the camera angle changed (I haven't played so didn't know) didn't stop him playing though, he just told me to "go away". Also laughing at him trying to show off the swan dive on tomb raider 3 when he missed the water 🤣
The game I gave up on was Gone Home. I've heard it's fantastic, but the atmosphere terrified me for some reason. I knew it wasn't really a horror game, hence why I tried it out despite how much of a coward I am, but I absolutely couldn't bear the silence. The constant feeling of "WHAT IF SOMETHING HAPPENS" was too much for me. I installed it, booted it up, and not even 10 minutes later, I was already uninstalling it. I'll give it another shot one day, when I'm feeling braver...
@@CB-lw7ty I'm glad I stuck with dark souls 2. I couldn't understand why people loved it and kept trying it here and there. Eventually, something clicked and it was one of the most memorable experiences I've ever had. You have to get your head around the fact that it's not like the usual level-based games and the feeling you get from opening/finding shortcuts is incredible. Once you get the rolling down and increase your i -, you can really start getting into it. The battles remain the best feeling, once you overcome an enemy, after many deaths. Amazing experience.
@@CB-lw7ty I never game without a guide, especially a From Software game, helps you learn so much quicker. But no so many people are like "I'm fine I can do it all by myself because I'm special" after a few goes they realise they dont' really want to get stuck and have to overcome, and then I've heard some say "oh well I didn't know that, if i'd known to pick that up, or do that against this enemy in advance I'd have been ok" and I'm like when I was younger there were no guides and no internet, realise how lucky you are are use a damned guide, it annoys me that so many have this mentality
Red dead 2. Technically im like 5 hours into it (not 10 minutes). Its just mechanic after mechanic after mechanic. I will go back to it, but it was a major turn off…
I got very angry at resident evil revelations 2... played it with my partner and when the character I was playing as refused to pick up a gun despite the hoarde of flesh eating zombies, I got very angry and my bf got scared and we had to turn the game off for both mine and his safety
i agree with Nath, i played it at a friends house, i just liked creative mode and dumping lava buckets ontop of high cliffs and such and trees but thats not enough value for me to go buy it
So many graphics snobs. Games like Katamari are amazing and the graphics aren't Uncharted level. Graphics definitely are not everything. I gave up on Manhunt after ten minutes because that game made me realize I'm not good at horror games.
I can't stand minecraft, but I have 2 sons. The younger one has got bored of it thankfully and moved on to good games, lol the eldest one still plays that and roblox and is obbssessed. Still even if I am not into it, I stay positive in front of him and encourage what both kids like regardless of how I feel. I want them to feel confident that they nake good choices. Still even though I am not into it, I can see some value in it and I am glad others like it, even i would rather pull my own nails out using my teeth for fun. Happy gaming to all.
There has only ever been one game I've given up on after 10 minutes. Outlast 2. Got to the school and had to stop there. Normally I'll give a game at least an hour, but I was too on edge. Now I don't even start horror games
It was sekiro for me. I thought I was ready after doing star wars jedi fallen order on hard difficulty and I had the parrying down but nope. Still got destroyed in sekiro and haven't gotten the energy to go back
*Nioh 2.* Not after 10 minutes per se, but I tried the demo ages ago and hated it so so so much. Then I dabbled with the proper game and OMG, its so good! Got that Plat! (which isn't too hard actually) It isn't quite a SoulsLike; Nioh games are their own thing, but having played Souls games, IMHO, Nioh 2 is better than Souls. Fight me! :D
My one is Silent Hill 2!! Put it on, played 10 mins then thought I’ll get right into that later...well needless to say later never came n I’ve never played the best silent hill game ever made 😮😮
Zelda on switch ... I gave it a try but i felt lost, didn't know where to go or what to do and i couldn't progress. 🤷🏻♀️ Played for a few hours and that's it, sold it with switch.
It took me a while to click with BOTW, but once it did, it felt amazing to run all over and see what I could find. What really stumped me was when I went back to 3DS for Ocarina of Time, with the BOTW headset, only to flounder in confusion. An amazing game can be spoilt by lack of direction and I feel like Ocarina and BOTW work for a lot of people, but they unfortunately doesn't quite click for everyone.
I played Minecraft for around 10 hours and created a number of holes, I think my character is still at the bottom of one of the particularly large ones. I have since learned destruction is more of my thing, I like the inspiration to think of something to make and the talent to do it even if I did.
I first played the Minecraft beta with my friends in 2009. I just wasn't interested in a game where you just build. To be fair it was still being developed at the time but it wasn't for me.
When I first got it, I couldn't take much more than 10 minutes of Hitman: Blood Money. Then years and OSs passed as the game sat collecting dust. Decided to give it another go, found out it needed to be patched to run at all. Got it working. Couldn't stop playing. There are some good things about growing up.
I don't do horror games; so I never really started Resident Evi back in the day. My sister bought it for me; thinking I would like it, but I wasn't crazy about the whole zombies thing. So when I got to the hall with the zombie dogs; I bailed. This happened again when someone tried to get me to play Outlast; another game I didn't get very fast in. In fact; I think I had less time in. I'd gotten in the building, walked around for a bit, until the hanging body dropped from the ceiling... and that was my time in Outlast! So yeah; don't do horror game.
