So very true, I have had rescue dogs for 55 years. While I have never had a close to pure Staffy I have certainly had other dogs with little bits of Staffy it in their breed. We rescued a little Staffy/ Border Collie guy that some one got as a COVID lock down dog. He was a whole lotta dog, nothing like any other doggo we had had before or since. My husband an I just fell for him and the breed, hook line and sinker. Unfortunately he got Tetanus and the vet didn't know what it was and after 3 vet appointments, we are the ones that ended up finding what it was but it was too late by then and it killed him. We were devastated by his loss and the awful way he died. All that to say they YES they are an amazing, one of a kind breed. RIP Mack we miss you so much buddy.
Staffies are my weakness, I cannot walk past one without saying hi, I had one in the back of a car parked next to mine, leaned out of the rear window to give me a hug, made my day😍
Reminds me of my old staffy who passed a few weeks ago. I'm so happy I got to spend 12 years of my life with her. Sweet dreams Bella, I'll always miss you.
You have my sympathies. We had our first Staffy, Sadie put down on 4/1/22 at 12.30pm. Horrendous day! Still miss her so much and makes cry whenever I think of her. But now we’ve got Dougie. He’s just turned 8 months. Just as stupid as Sadie, just as soft and loyal. Loves a fuss, cuddles and of course, his food. If you can, get another one. It won’t replace Bella, but she would want you to have another one wouldn’t she? They are such amazing dogs. Take care!
@@peterclarke3990 Oh don't worry, I'm planning to get another furry friend when I get through university! It's true that Bella will never be replaced, she was a goofy little stinker, but it will at least partially fill the void that her passing left for me. Thank you so much for your comment! I hope Bella and Sadie are playing ruff and tumble wherever they are! Take care yourself!
@@cripmeister9104 13 years, goodness. I bet you had so many wonderful memories with your skrunkly boy. Wherever he is, he is getting all the treats and playtime he could ever dream of, and you can bet your bottom dollar that he will be waiting for you too! Im truly sorry for your loss. Do take care, your pup is in my thoughts 😊
Outstanding dog. Even when you have a very smart dog it takes a lot of time and dedication to train to this level. Much respect for you both. Long life and happiness to both dog and his human mistress
What a champ! We’re currently on our second Staffy. Outstanding breed. Love them to bits. So intelligent, loyal, funny, cheeky and playful! Wonderful dogs!
He is amazing! Great job with all those tricks! I'm really impressed :D I have had a STB for 13 years, lost her in May 2021, she never left my side and i was completly devasted.. I'm a 44 year old grown man, but i cried and screamed like a wounded animal the day returned from the vet without her.. :( But in 2½ weeks time, i will get my next STB, 8 weeks old puppy.. i cant wait! For me, a home without a STB is just a house...
Had my baby girl for 13 years, she was super fit up until the last 2 months, unfortunately, she had an enlarged heart which only showed symptoms when she had got to that age, probably from all the love she had in it! We had to keep her on the lead and only walk her very carefully and for a short time after the diagnosis as she got tired very easily although still full of love and affection. My 8 year old son seen me cry for the first time when she passed. 1 year on and I'm still brokenhearted, but like you and anyone else who knows these dogs I will, when I can, get another. All the best with your new STB.
@@steveharris1974 Thank you so much.. and i'm so sorry for your loss. The pain never goes away, but i guess we learn to accept it and live with it. STB owners will know...
OMG so sorry. My husband did that too, and me I'm even crying now, telling this little bit of info. We lost one recently too. I just told his story a few comments before this one. More than any other dog when you loose them it's absolutely devastating. I'm so glad you are getting another little Staffy. Once you have one it's definitely hard to live with out them.................All the best with the newby.
He’s such a handsome guy. I will never own another breed , they are so smart and loyal. My Astro even saved us from a giant bull moose. You can see how much he loves working with you. You’ve done a wonderful job.
You have done an amazing job working with your dog. He maintains eye contact all the time which is half the battle and I love the times when he jumps into your arms. He obviously loves and trusts you very much. May your pack be happy, healthy, and long lived.
Wow! My wife and I have had Staffies for twenty years & we’ve never got them anywhere near as well trained. What a beautiful boy. It obvious that your dog loves & trusts you completely. Also, you spend lots & lots of quality time with him. Very well done. ❤🇦🇺 Ding.
What a wonderful connection that you two have. He is very well trained l. Staff's are a wonderful breed. They are full of energy, absolute clowns and so in tune with their humans emotions. Once you have had a Staffy no other breed can replace them
This is very impressive. Well done on being a great and consistent leader, smart doggy but it's all about the connection you have built and worked hard on 🙏 I can see the love and friendship, very beautiful work ❤️
I've been around this breed for almost 20 years now and I have to say that you won the lottery with this guy. I mean his intelligence and willingness to please is on par of a Belgian Malinois. Our bully breeds tend to be more stubborn compared to others. Is he food or toy driven? Truly inspiring pair you are.
I used to joke about my staffie that "He's a good dog, just not a smart one." Because he was always doing silly things on walks when he got excited, like running into fences fetching his ball. Truth is though he was very smart, as a lot of staffs are. I miss him a lot, so thank you for posting this
Every day for a dog is 7 human days ! Give em the happiest life you can , cuz their clocks run faster than ours. N just like that the adventure ends but not before leaving u full of loving memories. So get busy n live life on dog time. U won’t regret it
I’ve had pedigree SBTs all my life. Family has bred them since the 1950s, my gran got a SBT in Liverpool after WW2 and that was it. The family dog. I’ve got two now, litter siblings, 10 yo. My brother is a well known breeder of staunch pedigree dogs. It’s weird, of all the staffies we’ve had - me, my bro (we’re in our 50s), our mum & dad, gran & grandpa, cousins - I would say probably only one in six or seven Staffords have had a strong propensity towards tricks. But when you do get a dog that enjoys performing like your excellent staffy, boy oh boy do they get into it, it’s all they want to do. The family has had three or four dogs over the years that were pretty good at agility, one little bitch in particular was a sometime champion agility dog thanks to a nephew who put many hours of training into her. A few more that loved to learn new tricks. But the vast majority of our dogs couldn’t be bothered! The two I have now are an excellent example of Yeah, whatever, we’re off to hunt rats in the stables. All they want to do is hunt, sleep in my bed and of course cuddle. I think tricks are a bit like swimming - by no means all of our staffies have enjoyed swimming out of their depth but every now and then one comes along that just cannot get enough of it. Anyway your dog looks like a champ and good on you for giving him so much time & love. Great job.
Absolutely love this video I would love to be able to teach my staffy the same any tips or would you put up video on where to start my girl is 9 months and would love to be able to do this with her. You truly are an inspiration thanks for sharing. ❤
he is beautiful and you are a very good dog mom. It's so nice to see that Staffbully can have a nice life in good keeping. I keep the cousins of the Staffbullys namely Bull Terriers
