How does this explain the fact that he didnt hit the notes? It's his voice that is damaged, but not hearing. It's a shame to not be able to hit notes. It's not a voice problem, it's a hearing problem.
@@TaveruS2 It's actually a not learned the song problem, they improvised this version at the end of the gig. He did mention before playing it that he didn't remember neither most of the lyrics nor the melody (+ he was getting a little drunk at this point ahah )
D He's been "recovering" from vocal problems for his entire career. 😂 When will BMTH fanboys accept that Oli Sykes sucks as a vocalist. He's just a poster boy for this band. Jordan is the one with all the talent.
@@YellBT As a person who has recorded some songs in his life, I can say that it's next to impossible to forget the melody of your own song. Coz you have to spend a lot of time with while recording. Lyrics - perhaps. As for being drunk - I'm okay with it as long as it doesn't affect the quality of your performance.
I met him in 16 backstage Rockville in Jax and he downed a 750 of jack in about 5 minutes or less then grabbed me and screamed to tear up the divorce papers I filled out the night before and to not give up. Long story short I’m now filing again after an additional 5 years of torture lol never take emotionally broken rockstars advice after getting hammered 10 minutes after finishing on stage. That was a heluva day. Lunch with Vinnie Paul. A little soccer with parkway drive.
@@livs608 Tbh it must be due to the fact that they didn't planned to play this song, it was just a bonus at the end of the gig/Q&A, he did mentioned at the beginning that he didn't know the lyrics and melody of this song, he sounded good for the other songs they performed
liv S It's never "recovered" from anything. 😂 Oli Sykes has always been a poor vocalist. Go look at live performances 5 years ago, he still sucked then lol. Apparently he was "recovering" then too. It's such a poor, cliched excuse for him every time he shows the world he can't sing.
This seems a bit pathetic. Dont get me wrong im a bmth fan, but come on oli. Youre all about how u rly wanted to make these new songs in a new style. Doesnt Seem to me u Care rly
he doesn't know the song haha. recording takes sooo long...might be close to a year before he last sang this song.also of course he had a ruptured vocal chord not long ago at all...from personal experiance i've had to sing gigs sick and pitch is affected by just not having the proper agility you're used to in your vocal chords. everything feels different. i will agree he wasn't centering on the pitch most of the time but he was close on most of it...so it's not fair to say he can't sing in key...he obliviously can a ton of evidence. his pitch has never been his weak point....he's had problems at times but he's in the grand scheme of things quiet new to clean vocals and there is plenty of times he's killed it. his range spans from a really strong g#2 so in the baritone range...all the way to a d5 which is in the female alto range...his voice technically spans 3 voice types or "fachs" he is a good singer...he's still learning in some ways but he's still quiet good. and also yes drinking really messes with a lot of people...i haven't ever heard myself singing while drunk as i never drink before gigs but i've known plenty of people who you have to get mad at because they got drunk before the show and played and sang like shit.
