It doesn't matter how many times I listen to this song whether it is live performance or not I will always feel the urge to cry when he says ''Everything I loved became everything I lost.'' and I will always have goosebumps over my whole body while is listen to this with a heavy heart.
To me it’s the every second every hour part, just reminds me of my depression. I feel like it’ll never end, Ive been depressed for over 5 years. I just want to end it all.
I can see the pain on Oli's face while trying to sing this and it hurts me to see him like this. I respect him with all of my heart for doing this. It goes to show how much he cares about music.
Éli Gagné-Beck plot twist: it's a completely different vocal technique than what he used to use. He still can scream like he used to, check live videos.
Elliott Johns maybe he can do only growl, because maybe scream make pain his vocal cord and throat..i went in milan at 25 november 2013 and his voice in good now...he make low scream and many growl *-* search on youtube : "bmth alcatraz milano"
All I see is how people are saying Oliver's voice is garbage. No ones voice with the amount of touring the band does which would include barely any rest time for the voice or to eat proper food. He was also on drugs at one point which will definitely do a whole lot to someone's body. His voice may not be perfect or the same, but by saying hes not even trying to sing is bullshit. He knows his voice is messed and still tries his best to write songs and sing
Marc Evangelista that's because there is a correct way to scream in singing the way corey does it is the correct way (in technique terms) which docent really damage your voice whereas the way oli dose it is really just raw emotion, they both have there pros and cons but its just whatever works best for the genre as they have a different sound.
the way Corey screams wasn't the right way that's why he had vocal chord surgery... and this is Oli's version of singing. it's more of a punk style yell/sing. if you don't like it just click to the next song instead of whining about it on here...
i actually really love his voice here, it doesn't have to be perfect and it's not supposed to be. it's raw and full of emotion. ever heard of hardcore punk? that's the genre metalcore takes after. go compare that genre's vocals to this. makes a lot of sense
lead poisoning its a fusion of hardcore punk and extreme metal this song in vocals is more towards hardcore punk and metal is like blending modern metal riff and hardcore riff with some electronic sound a bit
@@adelkhay this is funny to read, Oli was Right, there will always be criticisms. "With everything we create they want us to go back, with everything we make it starts over" but for real tho, i miss their talent, how they used to be, how they used to spend it. It feels, it feels so wrong, looking from where they all started, i got there first CD right here Tiwteoyswmf. There is a lovely letter inside it, how the band thanks everyone who helped them create and build there very first official CD, its beautiful... They kicked it so far and I'm proud of him. Its just so hard for me to adapt to these changes, im-im depressed about it, im actually really upset. Oliver was my inspiration to start a band myself, and i will continue to do so. Because i still love him and i still love them ...
@@Fallen313 I gotta say that was a beautiful Testament. You're a person of Passion. And you see the Passion within The band not just Oliver. But the instrumentalist as well.
Dude, I've seen them live a million times and even while concentrating I'd expect them to put atleast half of the energy and effort in while on the radio as they do live.
I think so too, but he can't scream like he used to, which personally I prefer much better over this. Listen to Pray For Plagues, that's how he used to sound, but from incorrect technique and not by not taking care of his voice he hurt his vocal chords.
He's still good, I saw him live last year in The Netherlands but when they played their concert in Belgium, he had to stop halfway 'cause he had some troubles with his voice (well that's what a friend told me)
people say that he had surgery because he damaged his vocal chords but none of the sources were from reliable places so I'm unsure whether that's true or not. maybe he was just looking for something different, he's not the average screamer anyway, he's unique and that's thats what makes the band as a whole stand out.
Best BMTH era. When Jona was in the band. It brings so many memories back. Hard to believe that this song and the album are turning 9 years old this year. My favourite band at its finest. Love them. :')
They have so much talent it's unbelievable. Anyone who hates on this band, should definitely do something a lot better before they do hate. I love Bring Me The Horizon, they're awesome! :3
+Ziky Music Not always. He sang properly till around 2010. Later he started singing with his throat because of drugs. Drugs had an impact on him in that way that he probably didn't know what he's doing at all :v
I love this so much. I love these videos of them because its a lot more raw and you can HEAR and see the emotion behind his voice and on his face. My friends are always asking why I like "this kind" of music....I always say because in any song you can sing how you feel and try to get people to understand....but in this music you can just scream it out get your point across and really express it yell scream out all your anger or anything
