They fucking did!!! I think that was the BEST on the entire setlist. Their best performances are anything in the first album, the rest is all production based and not so much just raw band sounds. Notice how the guitars dont even solo or sweep on the other albums like the talent they have showed us on the first.
***** you mean the first album? i liked the first album when i was younger and it was just out but their albums progressed in terms of structural methods. In the first album theres so many clashes and not much structure, just shreds and solos stuck wherever they can fit them in. Lee himself admitted that and said hes now grown as a guitarist, because a lot of the first album was just trying to show off (not that he didnt have some crafty ass solos, because he totally did!) anywho, i love the way they directed their band, and that neck tattoo oli has is pretty bad ass.. i always look at it in awe
NIRVANAmat I agree with you. I just wish that wed get more of their mind blowing solos back, The thing people internally struggle with when following them is that they want to hear MORE of what these guys are capable of. I would love to hear the guitarists shred more like in the first CD. The first CD had difficult lead guitar sweeps that not only where AWESOME but are duel between both guitarists sometimes and the drums on the first 2 albums are tiring to play. My point is that ALL of these guys are SERIOUSLY talented and as much as I love every song they have ever reased thus far, anyone who follows this band wants to hear them improve on raw talents with their instruments instead of having the best PRODUCED talents working on their future stuff. Nothing sounds as natural and non-FX as their first. It drives me crazy cuz CYB is the album that started my music career and is the base inspiration for lots of my own work as a vocalist and one man band. P.S. - If CYB is too tiring to play live due to those songs requiring LOTS of energy and accurate precision required to even play (those songs are WAY harder to learn and play) then I understand. Just wish it was around a tiny bit longer before things drastically change to generic metal riffs and hollered vocals.
***** wish i had a longer reply for ya man! but yeah i agree ;) I'm not so much into this whole genre of music but every now and then i have a listen :) i know what you mean on rawness, i think it goes for most bands no matter what the genre. But hey the amazing things dont always last long but when its here it burns the strongest and brightest!
NIRVANAmat Yeah, I prefer skill rather than the best producers in the world. my opinion :P I still love all their songs but Ill always prefer shreds and solos over linkin park guitar riffs with only 3 power chords looped lol
I literally love it never ends, its the most perfect song and they never play it anymore. love their concerts but just wish they would add this in occasionally!
Man I wish I could have gone to their concerts and festivals when all these songs were still on the set list. It looks mental, I would kill to be there
Why didn't they let Matt drop his guitar off the balcony at the end D: HAHAHA so funny how the security guards just werent ready for BMTH to bring them all that madness :P when he said 'everyone sit down.' you should see them scarper :P
Oli is actually singing most of Pray for plagues, proves he's getting confident in his screams again, normally he gets the crowd to sing it. Mad respect for Oli in this video.
The way the guitars came back in at 9:03 as Oli was getting the crowd to split up again was so badass I'm almost glad something pooped out the first time around 😅
@@clxvdsxvl I saw him 9 years ago and he didn’t have a voice by the 2nd or 3rd song. He tends to put too much into the first song and then can’t preform the rest.
The amount of middle age moms and fake mainstream music loving fangirls with flower crowns riding on their boyfriends backs that I saw that day during this set was... Unfortunate, to say the least.
Bands evolve over time and that's ok. I loved old BMTH and I still love them today, but i think they should include more of the old songs like this into their playlist, cause they're still bangers and a lot of people still love and want to hear them.
Bmth was the best shows to see the energy was unreal oli was the best front man. Watching these videos bring me back to 2007-2011 days off moshing, what a time man
comparing this to his performance at the 2011 rock am ring in germany, his lows have gotten twelve times better. this is the perfect example that though hes a ways away from getting his proper fry screams back to perfection, oli's definitely on the incline
Like the montreal concert, that was such an impressive performance. Check that one out, he really did well there. I think he is so played down by so many haters, that he is just generalized to be shit live. but this video clearly states he is good and still has it, not one vocalist can do every show perfect.
these guys were my favorite band then they had to change the sound.. i would love to see them live just to hear to old songs like plagues and stevie wonder, off the heezy soo many other good classic songs... i still support them even with the new sound..
Esse concerto é sem dúvidas um dos mais bonitos e belos da banda, tem tudo. Peso, melancólica. Meu, tá completo, eu simplesmente amo essa banda, sempre vou amar. VCS são meu tesouro, meu mundo.
