I don't know what's worse: the fact I know exactly what words each of those otamatones are supposed to be saying, or that they are so close to the original that I can believe they are saying them. Great work!!
Considering you can actually hear some of the consinents that otamatones are not capable of making (take a look at TheRealSullyG for what one ACTUALLY sounds like), it's pretty obvious a talkbox is being used.
@JamesR624 no talkbox! I'm recording with a mic and opening and closing the mouth a lot to change the sound. Sully records by plugging his directly with the "line out" so that's why this sounds different 🙂
I got my Otamatone yesterday on my 44th birthday....yeahhhheee.. My wife and kids are going to leave me. 😂 That's so cool. ... the Otamatone... Not being alone. And no, these vowels are changed when pressing the cheeks of the Otamatone. Recording via line out makes no sense. Would be like recording vocals with a piezo sticked to your throat... Anyway, a talk box uses the fact that many changes of the human voice is changed with the volumes and geometry of the skull. That's why you sound different with a bad sinusitis. Sound comes from a synth and your head is forming the vowels. Is that right? Ok, I have to calibrate my otamatone.
I enjoy the music, but I want to express how much love how dramatic this video. The flair! The panache! That carries the video from being a solid cover to being absolutely incredible.

I have heard some decent Otamatones before, but this ACTUALLY sounded like skilled playing, and I swear I could hear them saying "Bring me" whenever you played. This has no right being as good as it is, but here it is. Brought by an amazing RU-vidr, and skilled musician, no less, using Otamatones. I wasnt sure to expect coming into this, and I am completely blown away by it. Im on mobile, so it shows a comment someone made. "I want this played at my funeral." I thought that was an exxaggeration, but... no. No this was so damn good that i would honestly want this played at mine too. Man. Now I gotta hear more of your stuff. Really well done. Keep up the good work, okay? 🎉
Today's youth with their jazz trios and 16th century overtures on loop just don't understand what real music like this is anymore. I remember my first Otamascence concert as if it was two days ago and it shaped my character and my future like no other music!
Funniest thing I’ve watched in my entire life, my stomach hurts, I’m so glad I’m not in public. I lost it when the 3rd one joined but I think I broke the sound barrier at the little white one. *THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE BANGER!* Like no joke this is an insanely good cover and an excellent example of how the brain can fill in recognisable sound bites for the lyrics as long as you have the previous knowledge of how it should sound! So it's like you can hear the lyrics even though they are not there! Bravo! This is a masterpiece!
@TheRealCreeper then, as a test, go listen to the original, then come back and see if you are capable of hearing the lyrics even though none are present. It's a phenomenon that affects some of the human race but not all. QI, a British show did a bit on it once and it was quite fascinating, to be honest!

All the otamatone covers I’ve seen until today have been coarse, off key, and did not spark joy. This one, by contrast, was absolutely amazing. Thank you.

I don't know if I should be worried that I know exactly what they're trying to sing. Either way, harmonies are on point, the background adds that music video flair. And it's just very pleasing to the ears. I am looking to whatever else you have cooking
