I have literally spent dozens of hours researching how to get my 2 dogs to the Phillipines and this is a very informative video. I contacted a animal transport company and they want almost 2 grand just for the paperwork. I almost paid it, but you gave me a way to go, thank you so much.
My wife and I are getting really to do just this 1st of the year. However, I learned MANY years ago, NEVER fly into or out of LAX (if you have a choice)
Thank you for your video. I am about to take my cat and dog to the Philippines in May of this year. Also, I am getting so much anxiety this thinking about this
Great dog Ollie 😁..you take good care of him ,so he has a happy life ❤️I’m going to Philippines soon. And I wanted to kniw the cost of the transportation?
Hello.... Nice Informative video. I live in Los Angeles and I am planning on relocating/retiring to the Philippines with my dog, breed is a Pitador. We are going to relocate in the beginning of 2024. A couple questions if I may, why the Annex C Application? Isn't that for Canada? Also, can you share the experience of handing Ollie over at the special boarding counter and how you felt the entire flight thinking of him. Were the Stewardess able to check on Ollie during the flight? (I was told that they have access to the cargo area where large dogs are kept during the flight). Then of course, the reunion after 16 hour trip? Where did you go from Manila after the 2 hotels days? I would love to ask you so many questions to help me feel easier about our plane trip. I am 67 year young male and my dog Chaos will be 5 when we leave. Sorry for so many questions. Salamat
happy to answer all your questions. you can pm on messenger if you like - nathan strong. or email me at me and ollie 321 (take out the spaces) at outlook dot com
My husband and I are flying with my dog to Manila, we've already got the BAI approval and the email from qatar airways confirming his place in the aircraft, the only document left to do is for the UK animal health agency's export permit and we're off to go end of December. How was your landing in Manila? I've heard horror stories about corrupt custom inspector asking for way too much money for an animal.
@Travelin' with Ollie Saw the 603 # am originally from NH ....N. Hampton. In 3 weeks I am moving out of my apt. here in Nv. was going to travel down to Mexico in my rv..but would actually like to go to Asia...but I also have a dog and its alot easier as you know just to travel here...Curious how you like it there as opposed to Mexico...i lived in Peru for 6 years..but really want to check out the Philippines...
So I got my dog as a 5mo old pup from someone that needed to rehome her. She has a chip and I can’t seems to log into the account to change the info. Any advice to get the info corrected? I have the adoption papers when the guy got her from the rescue.
Thank you for your detailed video. We are experiencing almost an identical situation with our cat. Every phone call I make is so inconsistent. We are so worried we may not be able to folloe through. Did you encounter additional hurdles or requirements upon arriving Manila. We are also leaving from LAX 😢. Thank you 🙏
Only that if you go to any other islands, you need additional paperwork. Almost as much was involved in getting him to Cebu (and back) as getting him to Manila.
Thank you for this video. I want to travel from Iran with my dog to the Philippines, Manila. Most probably it would be with Qatar airline. I wish you said more about this topic and your experience. What kind of crate was required? Is the microchip proof required by the Philippines upon arrival?
@@travelinwithollie3359 thank you for your reply. My flight is in 20 days, Turkish Airlines. I still have problem filling that form on the Philippines website. Do you think I have enough time? And what is this 30 days quarantine thing at arrival? Is that real? And the website says they ask for money at the arrival airport? How much is that?
@k.f.9875 for me, everything came down to the wire. So yes, 20 days should be enough. There was no quarantine. I did have to pay something on arrival - sorry that I don't remember how much !
@@travelinwithollie3359 My application on InterCommerce is finally approved now 6 days to my flight. Is it enough to have the print of that Import Clearance ? No one asked me to fill and send Annex C. Is that necessary? I am still having problem finding a pet friendly temporary accommodation for my first week in the Manila. Most pet friendly places allow only small pets. But I have a large dog. Can you give me any advice on this. Can you give me the name of the hotels or condo you have been to while your were in Manila. I’d appreciate it.
Hi, thank you for sharing your experience. May I know the size of the crate you used? I have a big husky (with German Shepherd and Malamute blood), but PAL is not clear on the maximum crate size, even when I emailed them. Thank you again. Ollie is one lucky dog!
@@travelinwithollie3359Thanks so much for measuring! My boi's crate will be even bigger but I have no choice but to pay up. The things we do for our babies, huh? Thanks again and wishing you more adventures with Ollie.
@@travelinwithollie3359 HI, me again. Still haven't flown out as still crate training my husky. Question: Did you get the USDA-endorsed health cert before applying for the import permit? I know the health cert is issued within 10 days of travel so if I have to get that first then apply for the import permit, the timing will be pretty tight. Thank you again for your help. Much appreciated.
I’m a little confuse in filling out the application in InterCommerce because the application is requiring DEWORMING records but my veterinarian told me that they don’t usually deworm dogs unless they have a parasite, so what is the protocol is this case? Do I need to deworm my dog or what?
That’s what my vet said too, but My vet made us give them fecal samples and test it for worms and just put negative for everything, they accepted that. As long as your pet is up to date on shots since they were 6-8 weeks you will be fine
@@TG-ke9ve If she's done her vaccinations and fecal test 3 months before flying, would that be a problem? She did an annual checkup (vaccinations, fecal tests, etc) back in June 2024. Our flight is in late September. That is not a problem, right?
@@travelinwithollie3359 Why 3 days? I know a health screening is required within 10 days of travel. Did they give you the pills together with the health screening?
Hi Sir, how much does it cost? We are planning to import our goldendoodle this month same size of your dog. I hope you answer my question please. Thank you.
There are so many variables, it's hard to predict. Because Ollie and his crate were so large, I think it was just as much for his flight as mine ! (about $800 on way)
@@travelinwithollie3359 Seems like a lot of work/cost to bring your dog to the PH for 7 months, did it not work out? How was the PH environment for having a dog, would you recommend against it?
