Hey Dressage Superstar, I am going to answer the question - What should you do with your horse when you are bringing him back into work after an injury? I have a young stallion who was injured in December last year after a breeding accident who has only been ridden lightly since that time. When bringing him back into work - and he's doing really well now - I like to listen to what he tells me. It's a tricky thing to do, especially with a Friesian because you don't always know if he doesn't do something for you because he doesn't want to because it hurts or might hurt, or because he is being lazy! It's all about working them slowly and letting them tell you how much they can do, rather than pushing them too hard and risking re-injury!! That's what I like to do anyway - there are lots of different ways you can bring your horse back into work - this is only one of them!
