Hey Dressage Superstar, I am going to answer the question - What should you do with your horse when you are bringing him back into work after an injury? I have a young stallion who was injured in December last year after a breeding accident who has only been ridden lightly since that time. When bringing him back into work - and he's doing really well now - I like to listen to what he tells me. It's a tricky thing to do, especially with a Friesian because you don't always know if he doesn't do something for you because he doesn't want to because it hurts or might hurt, or because he is being lazy! It's all about working them slowly and letting them tell you how much they can do, rather than pushing them too hard and risking re-injury!! That's what I like to do anyway - there are lots of different ways you can bring your horse back into work - this is only one of them!

Just a quick tip: if you keep your heels down, you are less likely to lose your stirrups.

Can you do a video about spooky corners? Like how to help the horse who always spooks in one end of the arena

I'm not a trainer but for me I'd make them work in the place/corner/close to the object they spook on, in both directions working them and taking their attention away from the thing they spook on both on the ground and on the back (for example a lunge with a shorter lunging line, keeping them close at a walk or trot possibly with poles either at the "open" and "closed side" asking them to lift their back and support themselves, that itself can often help with spooking, the more confident the horse is in your control and the more relaxed it is the less the tendency to spook is lower. when riding do shoulders in, shoulders out, groundpoles, simple cavaletti or anything it has to keep its attention on, with relaxed walkers inbetween letting them stretch and relax in a circle around the "spook" if you want to use the whole arena use the spot they're spooking on as a relaxation area often too so they know that place is nice and doesn't always mean work. when they don't spook release the reins a bit and say good or something smiliar. if they spook put them back to work ect ect

I have a request. When I ride in trot my legs are always sticking out too far. Is there a video on how to fix that problem or will you make one? Proof: gyazo.com/2ea60680e99e4a98d845d87e21cfd4b6 And are there any exercises to do after riding to reduce sore muscles for riders?
