Over the last 3 years a lot of people have become so uptight that many have reached the point of absolute insanity. Imagine walking into that climbing gym back in 2020/2021 while not wearing a mask & gloves. Those same people would be freaking out about liability, screaming insults at you, etc.

If someone brought a ladder into my fucking climbing gym I’d laugh, as they were being thrown out by my staff, endangering yourself for clout is one thing, putting a Buisness that supports people at risk, let alone the customers in the business, is a whole different thing. When people pay to go in the gym they’re paying and rightly expecting a level of safety and professionalism that Ross isn’t mentally capable of, it’s not a place to dick around because it’s all fun and games until someone gets hurt and then the gym closes and it affects everyone, just plain selfish.

They did have a valid safety concern regarding the ladder. They probably should have gotten permission first and rented the space if possible. A lot of people DO need to take a chill pill though. If it's not hurting anyone or anything and they aren't interfering with anything then just roll your eyes and move on with your life.

Honestly I think the guy who recognized him should have been real subtle about it. Like "Hey man I get what you're doing but this is unsafe, you need cones at the base of the ladder. Green cones, or orange cones or remote control cones would do but you have none of that which is why this is unsafe." As someone who has been an indoor rock climber for 9 years, I can affirm there are unfortunately a lot of up-tight, humor lacking, heavily involved in politics, self-entitled regulars who go all the time.

Perhaps he can do a video where he pushes the emergency stop on an escalator and then walk halfway up, just stay there and refuse to move and claim he's stuck. Would be interesting to see if people try to deescalate or escalate the situation... and if they escalate, Ross can show them how to deescalate in the end.

In all fairness, they have no idea how good or bad he is at climbing ladders. If he lost his balance and knocked the ladder over, he could have seriously hurt someone else. Plus, if they let one guy do it, they have to let everyone else, too.
