I got one, It runs and mows as it should to this day. Am needing bearings now for the mower deck. But its a tough little Cub Cadet for sure! It looked as nice as yours does here for long time. But the years of it siting in the Shed paint is flaking off it now pretty bad. But I'd bet you it would start right up!
Yes sir, that one is identical to the one my uncle had except for 2 things. His didn't have the fenders and it had turf tires. He used it in the garden and cut down a set of snow chains for the back tires. It was built like a tank!
Just can't say enough about these tough little machines. We have driven all the way to Grand Island Nebraska for a original with the Danco 2 speed with a snow blower. After we got it home and checked the serial number we found it was built the same month and year I was born. A few years later we picked up a M&W original at a tractor show consignment auction. The engine was shot but the gear box was excellent. We have several originals picked up over the years and I look forward to working with our grandkids in restoring them so each can have their own piece of IH history.
