Bringing Front Porch Trellis Dreams To Life 

Have you considered painting all the woodwork around the door and side windows the same color of the door? You'll likely find the entire entryway will be more outstanding and add the grandeur it deserves. Love what you're doing!

The trellis is gorgeous. Very classy. As someone who has been gardening 35 years, I would plant one jasmine in each planter. They grow and fill-out well.

I love how you are wearing all of these cute outfits and white when doing these messy projects and with a toddler! I commend your neatness. I have a hard time not staining my clothes on just a normal day of eating!!

Your porch (and home!) is an absolute dream. So classic but fresh. I wondered if you considered painting the side lites around the door green as well. I always think they’re part of the door package. No matter, super precious. I love the door knocker!

You will LOVE your Confederate Jasmine! Get the little green bands off that are holding it to the bamboo stake. Many times they can dig into the “flesh” and cause disease or insects to be introduced. Go ahead and weave the vines through the lattice individually while it’s still small and before new growth starts. The roses might not be happy in that location. Most want as much sun as their little faces can get and that’s looks as if it gets 5-6 hrs max. Much love to y’all from MS Gulf Coast🏝💚

Just a suggestion, you should’ve lightly sanded first, then used a brush for the cut ins and a foam roller to smooth out the entire door finish.

You can just scuff and paint the brass plate the same colour as your door or black. That is the weirdest set up for a door handle/lock I have ever seen. Very unique. Love the trellis and table.

That trellis is everything!!! It has totally transformed the feel. Makes a cozy, intimate little space. The door with the beveled window panes and the dark green door is stunning!!! I did like the kick plate and might Rub and Buff it to soften the shine. Hope the jasmine and roses take off and give you the privacy you are going for.

I have a trellis on the side of my house and one year I transplanted a sweet potato vine from my window box and it absolutely took it over, in a short time and all the nearby plants. It was gorgeous!

I would raise the trellis a little, and slip some small paver pieces under the pots to reduce rot risk and make cleaning easier

I've never seen anyone put a full cafe table on there porch but it works beautifully here! Love everything

Love this green with the contrast of the antique brass! As an avid gardener and someone who randomly gets the urge to paint “all the things” I do wonder how you keep from ruining your beautiful clothing. 😳 Your style is seemingly effortless; polished, yet comfortable. The hunter green, burgundy, and rose colors were very popular when I was in my late teens in the 1990s. It’s great to see them coming back around, but with a hint of modern flare.

Beautiful! Painting a door the perfect green can also relieve anxiety. 👌🏻 I think the door looks fine without the brass kickplate. I have one on my wooden front door and it was far too shiny, so I simply painted it oil rubbed bronze when we installed new door hardware of the same color. 7 years later it is still pristine. I don’t know that I would say to paint yours, I just threw that out there so you won’t overlook the power of paint in some other project you may run in to. 😂 Your porch is what dreams are made of.😍

I think you need to use a small roller. They have them specifically for doors. Makes a smoother finish.

I’d do the side lights they are part of the door really and then leave the trim white. It will beef up the door and make it look more stately.

I think i would make the door and side lights a bit lighter green than shutters so that door is focal point. Otherwise the eye just goes to all of the green. If you make the door a few green shades lighter then eye would more easily focus on door as 'light shades advance, darker shades recede". I love your videos, so inspirational, creative and so many beautiful great ideas.

The trellis turned out so beautiful. It looks so welcoming and it is going to smell lovely! I like the mix of the jasmine and the rose. Many years ago when we lived in Spain our driveway was an arbor of jasmine and honeysuckle and it smelled so amazing.

The trellis is absolutely beautiful, I love the shape! Keep it White!! I feel either/or on the jasmine or the rose, not one of each. Whichever you choose, put one in each planter and then they can blend as they grow. I wait anxiously for your videos, how fun for your family to now live in a neighborhood with lawns to play on and gardens to work in and enjoy.

Gorgeous! I am so enjoying your style! Brilliant idea of adding the trellis for privacy and charm. Just a word to the wise... go buy some pretty pot feet to raise those planters off the surface of your porch deck. It will allow air flow so your deck doesnt rot w any moisture from the pots. You have pleanty of space at the top of the trellis for a little added height. I was unsure of your resting the trellis on tue planters but in the end, i agree, tjats a good move to support the weight. Also would keep it from swaying in the wind. The transformation is fabulous. I would reinstate the door kicker, though. It protects the door and is in keeping with the style of your home.

In the future if you paint the door matte it is way more forgiving with imperfections and looks more elegant.

I would place your taller flower urns to the right outsides and the smallers potted flowers to the inside (on either side of the front door matt) to give yourself and one's eye a little mor space on either side of the door itself and the matt/entry atea space...just a suggestion...😊
