I don't understand why the groom can't be shining on the wedding day too. We need to appreciate men who are excited enough to take such effort for the wedding rather than just showing up in the traditional tux
Honestly, I would love a show that focuses on men's wear. I love tux and suit so much but I believe there is so much more we can do than just the traditional black suit. Let the men have fun expressing themselves, too. They can do so much more with fabric, patterns, color, symmetry, shape, embellishment, accessory, etc., even to a tux. If they're happy and you're happy, that's double the happiness.
haha i dont think they necessarily didn't want the man to have the attention/excitement, but i think they didn't like the idea of him taking away all the attention from a bride who already wants to hide
This series is hands down my favorite of the whole “Say Yes To The Dress” show. These women empower these lovely ladies. I just love their positivity, compassion and even love for these amazing women who have been made to feel like they are less than! They are fearfully and wonderfully made and I love seeing it click in them when they acknowledge that ❤️

Her arms are quite lovely and I was hoping for a strapless gown but she's gorgeous in the one she chose and felt beautiful and that's what she needs to feel on her wedding day. ❤💍👰💐

I just love this version of ‘SYTTD’. It makes me cry all the time - the skill of these two bridal consultants to bring out the realization of beauty in these brides - it is just something wonderful to watch. Well done, ladies.

My dream dress has pockets for my wedding..... it makes life easier than trying to remember a bag on the day for the very few things you would be carrying. True, it shouldn't be the only reason, but it makes some things a hell of a lot easier too 🤷♀️
@@Kaktusfresse123 I'm a girl myself :) Maybe I'm the exception, but I never use any pockets I have, except maybe for a tissue... and I can't imagine a bride putting anything in a wedding dress pocket, it would create an unflattering buldge (white shows everything!) - but thanks for your answer :)
I love that the Curvy Bride exists. This particular episode, shown on my birthday, took my breath away and I cried. I weighed 397 pound when I realized I was lost. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for helping her find herself. That dress, when she first is on camera in it, was AMAZING. I said to the screen - that's her dress! Just look at her!! Thank you SO, SO much. Angels! You truly are Angels.
So sad to see how bad she felt about herself when she was such a lovely sweet woman. I understand the mom and no full length mirrors. I haven’t had any in years. For years I was just a head So wonderful how Jo and Al helped her find herself. They are miracle workers !
Jo and Al are two very beautiful women who make us plus size women feel good in our skin and love the size we are no matter what size we are. We should always love our bodies cause they are all made different and God loves us all the way we are. If someone doesn't love u the way u are then they don't deserve to be in your life. 😊
I saw so many versions of this show. But my favorite one is this and Gok's. Because they literally build up brides confidence and make them feel beautiful. These two women are such a motherly figures. I love how they treat brides.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THESE TWO!!!! I wish there was a boutique like this when I was married 18 years ago. What I went through as a "plus size bride" was horrible.... including thinner brides' snickers. Well, doesn't matter... My husband is phenomenal and always will be. 2002 I was size 26\28......2021 I am size 10 with an amazing son, awesome daughter and my phenomenal husband! He truly did love me how I was, and as I am. He supported me, and still does, through thick and thin....always reminding me that if I want to change, he will cheer me on, but to never do it for others, especially since he married me for me. I really do love that man!
We need to see more of these ladies. They are psychotherapists disguised as wedding dress stylists. They just don't sell dresses, they nurture to the mindband soul. Much love 💞🙏🏽
I discovered Jo and Al today (confession: I've been binge watching clips of Curvy Brides Boutique all afternoon). These ladies are just... wow. They're so uplifting, positive, and incredibly kind. I love them!
She looked beautiful in all the dresses. She was tense all through the appointment but her body language instantly changed when she opened her eyes and saw herself in the third dress. She relaxed and radiated confidence. Well-done ladies!
The dress she chose is absolutely fantastic! Perfect for her and she knew it. Her eyes just sparkled and she said yes without even looking at her mom and friend for input. Beautiful!!

When the consultant said ' you are in the dresss and that means you have got shape' when she said the dress has got shape sent such a positive feeling in my heart. I really appreciate people who make people feel good about themselves. Thats what we need.
The lower neckline suits her much better than the first 2 dresses. They looked like they were choking her and made her neck disappear. The bride to be looked so beautiful and confident she glowed in the last dress.
That's what I thought, too. Why does the illusion fabric come up right to the throat most of the time? It looks like the dress wants to strangle her. A bit lower, and there we are. :-) I consider myself a modest person, but this high up doesn't work.

These ladies are amazing and they are in the bridal dress business for a reason. The bride literally transformed under their guidance. So happy her Mom and friend let her find her way on her own.
First time an episode made me sad. The poor woman was sooooooo traumatized . I think we all breathed a sigh of relief for her when we saw her smile. The ladies who run this shop are true angels.

I was on the verge of tears this entire episode. I've had body image issues in which all I saw in the mirror were fat rolls and cellulite and her experiencing that broke my heart. I'm so glad she had her ending. These ladies are wonderful.
I feel for her. She walked out stiff as a board. She reminded me of Anna from Frozen after she fell in the stream and was walking around cold and uncomfortable. Then she relaxed and she smiled! She was comfortable and free and it was beautiful.
Jo and Al are fantastic at what they do. This bride's body language totally changes from the beginning of the appointment to the end. Forcing her to look at herself and NOT at her mom (I loved the "Ah ah ah" scolding as she glanced to the side) was key to making her focus on what SHE wanted and what SHE feels good in.
ok, why can't mark wear sequins, it's his wedding too. that would look awesome by the way. i love this show, but it's a bit offensive that they've just casually dismissed the groom's feelings however it's sad that kelly has such low confidence and wants to be covered up for her wedding and the third dress, was the best dress, arms and all. she really looked amazing
That is not what they were getting at: He wanted to "outshine" his already shy wife. First it's not a competition and second he should want his new wife to sine with him. It does not really bode well for the marriage if he doesn't see them as a team.
