@@HunterBloodHunterBloodI think it’s a smash original design choice that was chosen to fit the overall theme of the stage. Brinstar Depths also has a brain situated in the center of the stage. Edit: Back when Melee was released in 2001, many people thought the brain in the background was a reference to Mother Brain…but this organism lacks many of her details like her singular eye which leads me to think that this thing is a smash original design element.
Basically they shortened stuff so it could accommodate the 3DS, this song and the DK Rap, (plus maybe licensing issues with Chunky and Lanky???) so they shortened them and didnt care to give the more powerful consoles the full version,
