Just bought the same boat and wheels. She is suppose to arrive Monday, woo-hoo. They say the floor is easier to install once she stretches out a few times. Hoping that's the case. I have a 45lb thrust trolling motor for now and am thinking of getting a 6hp later. Happy boating Bro and tight lines.
I thought you may like to know I just uploaded a video of installing the transom wheels and there were several things I learned that were difficult to see from the instructions. I hope it helps. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-G0by9dWjC0s.html
Awesome video man, wanted to ask a simple question, so im buying this exact Boat, wanted to know if a 55lb thurst motor with a 12b would be enough for a lake for this boat? Im so im just overthinking the Size of it. Big Bear Lake is where i will be testing it out?
I apologize for the late reply, but it took some time to get the information from Mike. Here's what he said. "I am using a basic electric trolling motor. It works perfectly fine on a lake. I did buy an additional marine battery as a backup. Have not needed to use it yet. I would not recommend using the electric motor on streams with a strong current. I got in trouble with that. I would use a small gas motor on a river. Not sure how much thrust is needed. Depends on the speed of the current in the river." Let us know if this helps or if you have any other questions. Rick
Honestly, we did not try standing up in it while on the rivers. Mike said the BRIS boat is phenomenally stable. He was able to stand by the edge and it did not turn over. He emphasized to me that's extremely stable and easy to climb back into. I hope that helps. Rick
I just uploaded a new video on how I installed the transom wheels. Here's a link to the videol ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-G0by9dWjC0s.html
