The first official theme song of Brisbane Bears Football Club (used between 1987 - 1993)
The Brisbane Bears are an AFL football club established in 1986, but formally joined the competition in 1987 as an expansion club alongside the West Coast Eagles. After 9 years in the competition and making finals twice and making a preliminary final against North Melbourne in 1996, they merged with struggling victorian club Fitzroy Lions to create the Brisbane Lions. the reasons they did this was to grow their fanbase, gain more AFL support, recruit some new players and see more success as compared to the team that debuted alongside them in 87', they had seen far less success and fans. The Bears first song is quite long, which was why in 1994 it was changed to what was regarded as a very good anthem. Unfortunately, the official second anthem of the Brisbane Bears either went missing or was completely erased, but you can hear it in the background of a few games if you search it up on RU-vid. Personally, I find this song repetitive and overall pretty crap. During the 6 seasons this song was used, the Bears did not make finals once, and instead won 2 wooden spoons.
