Thank you very much mate! First time using these lures and they definitely didn’t disappoint. They are an awesome soft plastic, good size and it’s the 10x tough material so they are very durable. They are a little more expensive than the normal ZMan Plastics but well worth it and cheaper than other prawn lures you buy. I’ll try to make some more videos using them, that was a first attempt with them. Appreciate it mate! 🎣 💯 👌
Thanks very much, it was a great way to start the day with that fish. It was 63cm when I measured it up! Yeah, 1,000 subs is a massive achievement too. I’m stoked. Very much appreciated mate!
Thanks very much mate! That’s a 1/6 ounce jig head and a 2/0 hook. The current wasn’t moving too fast. I would go heavier in places where the current is fast and maybe 1/8 around rock walls and in shallow areas. 2/0 hook size suits these lures but you could also use a 3/0 of you were at the Port fishing for snapper or Jewfish. Thanks for subbing mate - it is very much appreciated. Yew!
Hey mate, I generally don’t keep many out of the Brisbane river. If I’m fishing for fish to keep I’ll go fishing at the Goldcoast or up around Redcliffe or other more remote areas. I know a lot of people who keep fish out of the Brisbane river but I don’t myself (there are a few signs up regarding a contamination incident in the river at the moment). I mainly like chasing them for fun and testing out the lures. Also, I like those big flathead so it’s always good to see them swim off. This one was 63cm so it was a nice catch.
Hey thanks so much for the reply! I notice a lot of Brisbane fishers don’t keep the Brisbane river fish and thought that may have been the case. But having just started getting back into fishing (from north qld originally) down in Brisbane wasn’t really sure on what was what. Thanks again!
@@nigiessquidgies Thanks a lot! Just arrived in Brissy from Auckland, usually do Salt Fly fishing (i'm the younger one of the Duo): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2VBBfAej9Xc.html Seems like Fly Fishing ain't good here so may get back softbaiting
@@davincifpv3983just subbed your channel. Looks interesting. I’ll have to have a look. There are some awesome fly fishermen around the area but most people fish with soft plastics or live bait (caught in a cast net). I would maybe start by looking for a fly fishing club in the area. I’ve got a few mates that fly fish further up north but none in Brisbane. I would maybe give soft plastics a try. ZMan are a good way to start. Just get some good flourocarbon leader, TT tournament series jig heads and S-Factor scent. I’ll let you know if I get a fly rod one day. Haha. Cheers mate! 💯 🎣
