Ahhh, the Myrtletown Reserve where, as a boy, we had Sunday School picnics there and swam in the river from the sandy beach that's still there. Had many sentimental pilgrimages back there and have been happy to see how well the Reserve's kept. An oasis still there when all the farming that used to be in the surrounding area is long gone,

@@breathedeepandseekadventur7302 Yes, it was back then, we had the Serpentine Creek & mangroves at the back and across the front, Boggy Creek and the undeveloped Bulwer Island, also with mangroves. Mossies, yep, plenty of them, house with no flyscreens. Ididn't miss that aspect of home when I married and moved out.

Photoelectric is still used today and can reach a few hundred metres.
