Yep, sounds just like they did when I drove them on the old 711 from Hastings to Folkestone, used to love the exhaust note. However the ones I drove for Stagecoach the dash and two windscreens used to all move in different directions when bumps were hit, that and the change rattling with the ticket machine too was deafening. Good days😊
We must have been lucky at Thanet because the ones I drove there - with probably one exception - were pretty solid. However, this old girl- WKO - is like that. Everything moves, squeaks and rattles!
@@jakeyb2003 They wanted them to die in Hastings, most had head gasket trouble and used to throw water out of the roof! They replaced them with Leyland Titans from London, which were awful!
@@jakeyb2003 it’s when they used to find out just how powerful and reliable the old things were, tramping up the hills. I don’t drive any PCVs anymore, if I could go back in time, quiet summers Sunday afternoon doing the old 27 up Pevensey Road and down the other side to West St. Leonard’s train station, just me and that whine and thrum of the exhaust…..beautiful, I can still hear and smell it!
@@davidcooke6803 I remember taking TFN980T down to Hastings a few years ago now. She flew up the hills and I always thought she was the weaker one of the collection.
