As a diehard Pink Floyd fan of 45 years I can honestly say “that was awesome” I’ve just seen Kiwi band The Pink Floyd Experience here in Australia….my question is when are Brit Floyd coming?
Whatever the ranking, cover band, tribute band, they are on a whole level up. I have seen Pink Floyd twice, Brit Floyd 4 times, Australian Pink Floyd once, It's an incredible genre. All the concerts were incredible experiences. If I ever get ahold of a time machine.
I Was lucky Enough To See Them In Concert Paso Robles California i was BLOWN AWAY My Body Gravitated Straight To The Stage Where I Didn't Move the Rest of the Concert Instant FAN of Brit Floyd
Now THAT... Is a "TRIBUTE". Though they don't have all the stage set up like Pink Floyd, but what they DO have more than makes up. I know they must have sponsors that put boucou bucks into their act to afford every thing they have going. BRIT FLOYD....CHEERS TO YOU!!!
This band is awesome! I would love to hear what Pink Floyd as a group would have to say about them in a interview. But if any of them had bad words about Brit Floyd then they ere just jealous.
I've had the opportunity to talk to the band before a concert during a meet and greet, and they said that Roger Waters and David Gilmour have sat in their audience and said that Brit Floyd plays the songs better than Pink Floyd did back at their height.
Seen these guys 6 times at red rocks, i seen this very performance, bf is tha closest most of my generation will come yo seeing this beautiful art performed live , so much love and gratitude!!
Robert Bryant interesting point. I personally thought it was technology and not that the “talent” was any different???? For instance, (for me anyways) this stuff destroys original Floyd because I can watch it in super hi def with amazing sound. Heck, the iPhone bootleg stuff is 10 times better than The Delicate Sound of Thunder VHS tape I have but can no longer watch... IMO. I really don’t know what I’m taking about mind you, but I know what is more cerebrally appealing, and it’s Brit for me.
I'm obsessed with this band. I saw them in Bethlehem, PA in March and they killed it. So much so that I'm going to get out to Reading, PA this summer to see them again. As big of a PF fan as I am, Idk how I've never heard of this band til recently. I always brushed off tribute bands as being overrated...not this band. I bought tix to see the Australian PF Show in AC, NJ in June but after seeing these dudes/ladies live and also watching the Australian show videos on YT, they honestly suck in comparison to Brit Floyd. I know the genius behind BF, Damian Darlington, left the Australian show to form BF. Kinda feel like I wasted my money on those APFS tix. Hopefully its a decent enough show but I don't have High Hopes, no pun intended. 😊
Not bad at all, but I’m afraid that Dave Gilmour set the bar way to high with his guitar solo in the Pink Floyd ‘Pulse’ concert! There was never any matching that...
MiniLemmy agree that nobody touches Gilmour, especially his unmatchable tone. Having said that, Damian and Brit in general hit that shit harder than anybody else to cover it, BY FAR
Gilmour is a god but Zappa’s live Muffin Man (available on YT) is the greatest solo ever and I DEARLY LOVE Gilmour. I’ve seen Pink Floyd 3x and know 1/2 their catalog as a guitarist These guys get a solid 9.5. Not as tight as Floyd and the guitar solos are a shade too flashy, which Gilmour has ZERO flash, simply magic
One of my other videos is of the Earls court performance of Another Brick in the Wall pt. 2 that I synced to the remastered audio in "Is There Anybody Out There" Live CD back when I was in high school.
When is this guy going to be in New Jersey? Or a tri-state area fuckingawesome Gilmore should love this guy, anyone who follows him, please let me know
damn, come at me harder why don't you! jesus, I originally uploaded this so I could play it for a university music class. go support Brit Floyd and buy the DVD if you're upset with the video quality!
I've seen Pink Floyd live 4 times, David Gilmour 7 times, Aussie Floyd and Brit Floyd live as well and this was pretty fucking good, try going to a live show you might feel some passion then.
I dunno, dude. I'm a giant fan of PF, and Gilmour is a guitar idol to me. This was really freaking good. Nobody can impart the feel/passion into a guitar like DG, but this was freaking great.
I've been to some PF/DG shows and can tell you that Dave doesn't allways bring out the passion in it either. This guy plays it damn good compared to what Gilmour himself do it every now and then. David Gilmour is a god giftet and unique player. No other musician grabs my heart and touch my soul him - but he ain't a flawless God.
