Any time they talk about the US losing in War Games its because we stack the war game against us on purpose to lose. Cause with losing we learn a lot more than we would just mopping the floor with everyone in the war game. So anytime they talk about losing a war game you have to remember we stack the deck against ourselves on purpose.

@helmedon

@@archstanton2055 The US has barely started helping Ukraine and they've helped them keep Russia in a virtual stalemate while forcing them to burn through resources and man power. Russia is recruiting old men and fielding obsolete tanks as well as losing leadership. China is aiding Russia, which is the only reason they're still fighting. That and Putin is shooting soldiers who try to retreat. They actually have a rear guard specifically tasked with deterring any retreat by Russian forces beyond a certain point. Besides, other allies are stepping up while the stupid Congress holds up aid packages. Russia made a big mistake allowing a missile to enter Polish air space and making moves toward Moldova.

Experience also matters. The US Navy has more than a century of experience in carrier operations. China has to reinvent the wheel to figure out what works and what doesn't for carrier operations. Even if they develop their own supercarrier, that does not mean it will be as effective as an American supercarrier strike group.

This is not a pat-oneself-on-the-back kind of statement, but I will say this, the United States as a country has been more successful than any other nation in all of history. In that regard, look at all of the nations that have benefited or were pulled up because of the United States, China in particular. Look at EVERY nation that has a US military base in their country, and then contrast those nations with all nations that do not have a US military base in their borders. The difference is staggering. Lastly, the 'biggest' navy in the world means nothing if they are at the bottom of the ocean, because they all were sunk by aircraft. But they don't include 'space' and 'cyber space' assets. You can't tell China's missiles to fire on US aircraft if the missiles never get the signal to fire.

But "controlling the skies" doesn't just come down to whoever has more aircraft than the other. You can control the skies by prohibiting the use of them by your enemy as well, and China has plenty of Surface-to-Air Missile (SAM) systems for that (at least for controlling THEIR skies, though not as useful if they are in the role of aggressor away from their mainland areas). Also, don't get too caught up in the fact that China has more naval vessels than the U.S., either. They don't have the power projection capacity the U.S. has because many of their ships can't travel as far, or for as long, as U.S. ships/fleets can (due to lacking the support ship structure the U.S. has, among other things). Also, let's not forget about the big boys. The U.S. has a MUCH MUCH more robust Aircraft Carrier (and helicopter carrier) capacity then China has (which would be bringing a LOT of those extra aircraft from other branches that are mentioned in the video - in this case, the U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps - to the fight).

In simulated combat in an all out war against China, the U.S has already written off no more than 4 carriers, whether they are sunk out right or taken out if combat temporarily. That is how committed the US government is to this subject. That is almost 100 billion dollars off the top. After that, they suspect China would be running low on missiles and more carriers and land based craft from Japan, Guam, and Taiwan could take over

18:00 japan's constitution does not allow it to use war as a means of settling conflict. it has developed a lot of defense systems, and has an air force, navy, etc., but the united states is still its boomstick per treaty. it would most certainly be denounced across the world, though. japan has a ton of allies, not just the US. no one really wants to see anything more happen to japan, either, so morally they stand on the high ground in almost any circumstance.

Let's face it: The only realistic scenario for war between the US and China is the defense of Taiwan from invasion. In such a case, China's chief naval shortcoming is a lack of landing craft, not lack of "blue water" ships. They also don't really need aircraft carriers because the fighting will be within reach of their land bases. The chief US shortcoming is depleted stocks of expendable weapons like missiles. There's also a serious question about how well US carrier task groups can stand up to Chinese combined missile, submarine and air attacks. Finally, in war games and in reality, China will doubtless attack US air bases early on and both take out many planes but also deny the remaining aircraft use of forward facilities. While I think ashore, the Taiwanese will do well in fighting off an invasion force, at sea and in the air I think the US will take severe losses.

I ask a question. In the 1950s, did MacArthur make it to the United States for Christmas? Why couldn't he go back to the United States in time for Christmas? The gap in weapons between the Chinese army at that time was much greater than the gap between the weapons between the Chinese army and the US army today. If the Chinese military injects water into its missiles, ordinary people can know about it. It's just like you would believe your neighbor who tells you which stock to buy will go up. It's just as outrageous. Use only weapons to deduce the outcome of war. I'm afraid it's something only students who like military affairs would do. If weapons could directly determine the outcome of a war, Kim Jong-un would not exist in this world. Why don't you ask China's retired soldiers why they want to be soldiers? Go interview a US military soldier and ask him why he wants to be a soldier. You will know why the top leaders of the United States are so cautious about China. Why do even the Houthis dare to use ballistic missiles to attack US warships? and American merchant ships. Didn’t the US military lose enough face during the Cold War? Even the Taliban has been unable to defeat them for so many years. I really don’t know where the US military’s confidence comes from? I would like to ask Americans how many people know that China fired two ballistic missiles from Qinghai Province and Zhejiang Province at different times in 2021, but hit the same target ship at the same time.

The "war games" we play in the Navy are set up for us to lose from the word "start". We set ourselves up this way so that we train as if we are always in the worst possible spot. Example: Aircraft carriers can have 2 elevators to move aircraft from below deck to topside. In the war games 1 or both will be put out of commission to see how the captain, crew, and fleet react to being down aircraft. Turning that carrier into a landing strip on the move, any planes to damaged to take off is dumped overboard to make room for functioning ones to refuel and refit and set them off to fight again. We don't give ourselves God mode during these drills, we make it so we are on the verge of losing everything from the rip and have to fight back using everything we got. Imagine it like this.... Your in a ring with Mike Tyson, every rule they set against us is like a punch from Mike. And we have to go 12 rounds of rule setting hands down no guard, and then go fight Mayweather for another 12 rounds where we can fight back this time. Without removing any damage or giving us any rest between fights.

Some people don’t realize that the US is now energy independent and only cares about the gulf because it fuels the rest of the world and their economies, who we trade with.

We WERE energy independent until 3 years ago. But we do have the ability to be independent again probably fairly easily. Having the ability to be energy independent is a huge advantage on it's own. The ships and subs that are nuclear powered helps too. As long as we can keep our government from trying to turn our military into primarily electric powered. A electric powered tank sounds like a really dumb idea. Hopefully all the dead electric cars from the last cold snap was eye opening. ❤️🤍💙🇺🇸

I’d go with the US, not being bias, but I’ve studied both countries to understand how this will work out. While China currently has the #’s, which is why the CCP is getting desperate to make their decisions before the window of opportunity closes, and the US has the technology, this goes deeper that really is like Cold War 2.0. The issue the Chinese have is they lack basic foresight, while there is a strong discipline in the culture, the CCP wiped out any other critical criteria’s that could eventually persuade the population to overthrow the government. There has unfortunately been an indoctrination to be formed as the perfect soldier that is ultimately about obedience, this will be their Achilles heels and downfall. The US on the other hand might be traditionally more relaxed compared to other militaries around the world; HOWEVER, what gives Americans might and strength is not numbers nor technology per se, but the importance is about survival. Survival brings out a lot of different qualities in human behavior, yet you mix that with the American grit and determination to fight back, somehow people get surprised by the results. Really this is a comparison of two different ideologies, the Communist vs the Enlightenment, two countries that are stubborn but time has shown which ideology just doesn’t make it. You have one society that indoctrinates and the other believes in free will. One who believes in their country being told they need to or there is consequences, and having so many blind spots as a result. And the other ideology that has people who actually believe in the causes, even with the knowledge of the flaws there is a true element of unity. One society is after being #1 to prove their ideology is superior, as the other society happened to stumble into the position of world leader and is more focused on trying to prevent WW3. Not saying the US never went into war for selfish reasons, but never was the intent to be the dominating nation in the world. That said, I do see a lot of issues we Americans do have to deal with first though, primarily DEI involved, get that crap out now and we have that chance. Honestly it’s not just Americans who should be concerned about DEI involved but every person that believes in democracy and a free society should speak out too. This might be political but I don’t care, it needs to get out of the requirement and stay out. Only those who can survive get to be involved in the US military, no exceptions.

There are several items which give the US an advantage. First, a new dispersed set of bases in the Philippines which makes US logistics and response times much better than from just the US mainland. USMC has small detachments with mobile anti-ship launchers in many small islands there would decimate the CCP navy. Second, advanced USAF tech such as Rapid Dragon which allows ordinary cargo planes to launch a multitude of long-range cruise missiles capable of hitting deep in China itself, not to mention US stealth fighters and bombers. Finally, US nuclear weapons would negate any possible nuclear threat from China. The CCP would lose bigtime.

@dabberdaffy256

The notion that Chinese missiles are filled with water is fundamentally flawed for several reasons. Firstly, in the case of liquid-fueled missiles, the propellant is not stored within the missile for extended periods due to the risk of corrosion and the necessity for optimal performance conditions. Secondly, if we consider solid-fueled rockets, the integration of water would compromise the structural integrity and the propulsion system. It raises the question of how water could be incorporated without altering the missile’s design drilling into the missile’s casing is not a viable option as it would undermine the missile’s functionality and would be obvious.

Keep in mind, much of what is presented in this video shows technology that is being surpassed by newer systems that are more amazing than the last and latest you see here. The military would be crazy to let everyone know just what new innovations are coming down the pike and what other things are being developed to make the odds even better for the U.S. military. I can think of one particular newish weapon that was used for riot control that would be ideal for close combat situations.

If you want a new channel to react to for US military stuff and just funny videos in general, I have to recommend the Habitual Line Crosser channel. He does a lot of funny shorts where he tries to characterize countries with accents and stuff but also does some longer videos that explains certain things about the military. This one is a short but he does a good job explaining concisely the kinds of things the US does to it's own military in wargames- we presume unfavorable conditions and disadvantages because we learn more from defeat than from victory and have to prepare for worst case scenarios on the fly. 1. The US has a larger navy, navies are ranked by tonnage not number of vessels. It is the same thing as if you were to try and compare a speedboat with a machine gun on it to an aircraft carrier. 2. The part where the video says there will be 1,000 J20s in 2030 is BS, the first one to enter service was put on in 2017 and in 5 years the number has only grown to 20. 3. The best bet that the Chinese missile would have in reaching the ships would be in 1 massive barrage. Most of a US naval ships missile systems are meant to shoot down other missiles and planes.

One of the important things to remember about questions of "Who would win between the US and somebody else?" is the fact that any war fought against the US, unless the US started it themselves, will be fought against the US and the entirety of NATO. Not that the US would struggle to 1v1 any countries, but the fight would just be that much easier. Assuming nukes are off the table. And it's true the US doesn't have the largest navy in the world, but we do have 4 of the top 10 largest air forces in the world. The top is the US air force, with the 2nd being the US Army, 4th being the US Navy, and I think 8th being the US Marines. As for whether the US makes up for navy size by having better stuff? Yes. Absolutely, by a mile. US military tech is generations ahead of even our closest competitors. Benefits of a military budget that's been approaching a trillion dollars for a while now.
@JoannDavi
@JoannDavi 8 месяцев назад
North Korea has the largest, i.e., most numerous, fleet of submarines. That certainly doesn't mean it's the most powerful. They're tiny, non-nuclear powered, etc. Likewise, China's stuff isn't so hot. Even India laughs at China's "stealth" aircraft.
@redorb9ify
@redorb9ify 7 месяцев назад
I can attest that the US war games battles while handicapped. We take our best weapons off the board, assume perfect maintenance and logistics of the OpFor, and we assign an attrition rate to our forces that is unsustainable. This forces out of the box thinking by command to overcome unrealistic real world problems. One example of this is the Alaska games where they pitted a single F-22 against a half dozen of the newest French fighters, then take away some of the stealth capabilities of the F-22. In 5 sorties, the French barely won the first sortie... Barely... The next 4 were a bloodbath. They all died without firing a shot. So, when you hear of the US winning one of its wargames, it's not really just a win... It's complete dominance disguised as a struggle.
@RushFX

This would be at least a little unnerving, if it wasn't for the fact that Chinese propaganda always exaggerates their capabilities, and corruption is so rampant all of their militarys generals keep getting replaced. It's recently come out that the fuel used for their rockets are being sapped by their soldiers for use as cooking oil, with water being used as a replacement. Also, the Chinese "Father of (Chinese) Aircraft Carriers" is being tried for accepting bribes and the low quality of the carriers. They even removed components of a ship to install a market on ship because living conditions are so bad on it, with sailors using gunnery emplacements as hangars to dry clothes. "Tofu Dreg" projects are rampant while unemployment and store closures skyrocket, meanwhile the US his historically been known for severely handicapping itself during war games to gather information and experience on worst-case scenarios and form their strategies and doctrines with these in mind.

@RushFX
@RushFX 8 месяцев назад
@@o1non I never said stores on ships is a bad thing, as the US also has places like that, however planning a ship to contain stores from the beginning is different from never having planned it in the first place, realizing that mistake after morale is already low, then sacrificing other systems to accommodate it. These topics aren't even questionable as this is what is said even on Chinese media and proliferated on sites like Weibo and reflected through the state of Chinese markets and industries, along with the removal of high ranking military and government officials. The US gimping itself to locate weaknesses and adjust strategies can be seen in the post-war game reports and is attested to by the militaries of the UK, France, Sweden, and the Philippines among others.
