Hi Kabir, honestly Country music has changed a lot since the 1960's and '70's. It's gotten a lot more "pop"and Rock and Roll influences incorporated into it.Used to it was a lot more twangy, and the steel pedal slide guitar was always in it. I'm primarily into rock and metal music, but my grandfather was a country fiddler and I used to accompany him on guitar. Plus I had a lot of friends and family that were into the Country genre, so I had a lot of exposure to it. Personally, I like the new Country better than the old, though I might get lynched for saying so by the purists!
Do some Toby Keith songs! “I Wanna Talk About Me”, “Who’s Your Daddy”, “As Good As I Once Was”, “How Do You Like Me Now?”, “I Love This Bar”, so many good ones from him!!!
I live in Nashville and they now go by “Lady A” lol they dropped the Antebellum for the history of the word apparently 🤷♂️ what’s with the thumbnail 😂
There is a version of this song sung by Adele and Darius Rucker at a country music award show. I don't know how many times between this original and that cover I've listened to. They say that country songs are about real people with real issues, which I think just about sums up the genre.
I stopped caring about them when they decided the name they chose was too offensive during the 2020 "summer of love". They decided to get political so I decided to never buy anything they put out.
Poor, butt hurt, baby. Whaaaa. I hate ppl who don't want to hurt others feelings. I'm going to go drink some Bud Lite and listen to The Chicks. Too "Woke" for you. Go touch grass.
