Completely wrong!!! You are supposed to soak and shake the filter in a container of water to wet it completely and remove the bubbles. You then have to filter water through it twice (discard this water) before filtering water to drink. The packaging for the filter even had pictures!
@@TRax1122 Yes but before you fill it twice you need to soak it like I said. Doesn't the packaging of the filters have instructions like mine do or something?
@@TRax1122Taken from the instruction manual.... Step 1. Wash the jug. Step 2. Preparation of the MAXTRA+ water filter A For quality you can trust: BRITA hot steam treatment for hygiene in every MAXTRA+ water filter. Remove the protective wrapper from the MAXTRA+ water filter (Note: The MAXTRA+ water filter may be damp from steam treatment process). Fill the clean jug with cold and safe to drink water. Immerse the MAXTRA+ water filter in the cold water and shake it gently to remove any air bubbles. Remove the MAXTRA+ water filter and discard the used water. Step 3. Insert the MAXTRA+ water filter B For optimal filtration results it is key that the MAXTRA+ water filter is properly inserted. The new BRITA PerfectFit system gives you reassurance of a proper filtration by allowing water to only flow when the BRITA MAXTRA+ water filter is fully inserted and creating the right seal. Insert the funnel into the jug. Place the MAXTRA+ water filter into the hollow of the funnel and push downwards until it is positioned firmly. If there is no water flow through the funnel after filling the jug with water, the water filter is not fully inserted. Please press the water filter a bit further down and try again. BRITA water filter jugs are especially designed to fit with MAXTRA+ water filters. BRITA can therefore only guarantee optimal filtration when using a BRITA MAXTRA+ water filter. Step 4. Filling of the BRITA water filter jug BRITA water filter jug with flip top lid. Open the lid and fill the jug with cold and safe to drink water. The water in the funnel is automatically filtered and flows into the jug. Close the lid carefully again. Step 5. Activate the MAXTRA+ water filter. The MAXTRA+ water filter must be activated with the first two fillings. Discard the first two fillings or use the water for your plants. With the third filling the MAXTRA+ water filter jug is ready for use - you will enjoy cleaner*, fresher tasting BRITA filtered water. In case that carbon particles are released please rinse the funnel and insert the water filter again. For detailed information about particles please see paragraph “Natural traces” under “Important notes”. *clean as defined by the reduction of metals and taste and odour
@@nirvanasingh2 Every Filter in the World needs Rinsing for any Debris... You Mentioned Soak without the Main Information, which is to Rinse Completely Twice (8.2LX2=16.4Liters)....Filters are not like Sponge where it needs to be Soaked...It needs to get Cleaned by Rising it Twice Soaking doesn't help with cleaning.
@@TRax1122 Yes well the main post isn't mine so I didn't do a detailed SOP. The point is that if you run water through the filter without soaking and shaking to remove the bubbles first, the cartridge will have issues filtering correctly and at the correct speed (can filter too slowly)
Sorry I’m here in Philippines I’ll buy here. Don’t know what website we have. Sory guys. Thank you sorry for the late reply. Please like and subscribe 😊😊😊❤
Those bars do not indicate how contaminated the filter is. It just counts down to a month or a month and a half. The trouble is that water contamination levels are very different from region to region.
Hi @donajan yes your correct different from region to region. But your BRITA have start button? If have just finished the 5bars. Then you change. Me I have always one extra bar. Thank you. Pls subscribe.
Mommy olek, my my cartridge is not working. It is 1day old only to me. The customer service here in my country is not responding. I hope you can help me
She did it completely wrong!!! You are supposed to soak and shake the filter in a container of water to wet it completely before filtering water through it! The packaging for the filter even had pictures! If yours isn't working because you did it the same way as she did then that's your reason
