I visited South Shields For the first time showing you guys this fantastic town & learning on my trip to south shields that sandhaven beach in south shields was voted the best beach for 2022. On my tour of this town I bumped into another youtuber vlogger ‪@TynesideLife‬ who shared alot of knowledge about South shields and tyneside area. I later had lunch at Coleman's who serve the best fish and chips in this town. They currently have 2 branches in total.

Would be great to see all this part of our beautiful foreshore re-paved ( between the amphitheatre and the waters edge ) , it hasn't been a road for a long long time yet still has curbs, pavements and a roadway segregated

I absolutely love South shields it is sooooooooo beautiful and the beaches are out of this world, so we'll kept and loved and the walk along the cliffs either from the beach alpng the lees or souter lighthouse has the most incredible views. coming up next week, I think I'm more excited than the dog right now lol!!

haha with good reason. It's a stunning place. a place I could visit every year & still wouldn't get bored of this amazing town. I wish we had more beaches like this in the UK. Sorry for the late response. Currently On a trip.

@MIKE'S TRAVEL SHOW totally agree with you and geordies are such lovely folks, so down to earth and friendly and welcoming and they have every right to feel as proud as they do of their coast, it really does deserve the same love and recognition as Northumberland. soooooooooooo excited to be going up again will definitely be stopping off in shields even though I can't walk the dog on the beach the cliff walks are stunning. we lived in Sunderland in the 80s and ive really happy memories as a teen hanging around at the fair and on the beach. enjoy your trip, thankyou I really enjoyed this video!!

We have some beautiful beaches here in South Shields. The council has spent millions to improve the town and people still complain

It doesn't matter how much the council will do it will be never enough for those who complained. It's one of the best beaches in the country. It's better then scarborough and blackpool combined.

@@mikestravelshowthe seafront is brilliant however the town center is dying and there's a distinct lack of jobs, I love it here but the people complaining are absolutely justified tbh.

I'm lucky enough to live 3 mins from Littlehaven beach and walk the dog there every day .... then another 2 mins on to Sandhaven when bylaws for dogs permit (yes we Sandancers do follow the rules to make sure we can all enjoy the beach) I took Shields coast for granted until I moved away, now I'm home I appreciate it every day...come and visit!!

@@mikestravelshow a little bit weather beaten at the moment which is also a great look with dunes blown up to the road, its great for a walk to blow the cobwebs away. The council take down the winter defences, flatten and clean the beaches then start the summer cleaning program a few weeks before the Easter season begins, can't fault them and the fairground people with the amount of work they put in to make the sea front, beach and parks look so good.

It happened when I was talking to Eddie. I just didn't realise until afterwards that it decided to do it's business on me 😅 I like south shields a lot. I hope to visit more areas of the northeast later this year. Hope is all well. Best wishes. Mike 😊

Mike thanks for bringing back lots of memories with the walk through the town and Ocean Road. If you go back again please do cover some of the historical sites like the Roman Fort, the market place, the piers, the Tyne ferry, the museum and the parks. Keep up the great work mate!

I'd definitely go to sand haven beach and the whole area since I lived 10 min walk from colmans even remember when the velodrome was installed back in the 50'sTrow rocks was my childhood playground.......what memories......... nowt here on Vancouver Island that can give me the goosebumps that i can get from watching videos like this one of yours ( I'll take a bet that you used no film like you claimed to the other blogger )
