In this video we go over the newest convertible car seat from Britax ... the Poplar ClickTight. The Poplar ClickTight convertible has been highly anticipated as its narrowness allows it to fit 3-across in most cars! Stay tuned for our next video where we compare the Poplar to two of the seats that are being phased out with it's introduction .... the Britax Boulevard ClickTight & Britax Marathon ClickTight.

Thank you for talking about the difference in the click tight. I have a One4Life and just got a Poplar and thought something might have been wrong as I had a really hard time getting it to click closed. Really nice to know exactly where I need to push and have an explanation of it.

Thanks for this honest review! What are your thoughts on this seat vs. Clek Foonf?

I disassembled my Nuna rava, it is the same thing, foam around the head and foam around the head foam, but nothing below, just plastic

Would you recommend the poplar s or clek fllo? We absolutely want an ARB because we plan to tear face till 50lbs. We totaled the car that had our car seat that had one in it (our child is great, the car seat did it’s job) The car seat we had isn’t sold anymore so now I can’t decide what to get :/

Been waiting for this review!! Thoughts on this compared to the graco slimfit 3 lx since they are both advertised as 3 across and around the same price point? Specifically for FF if that makes a difference?

The Graco is very narrow on the seat interior. I feel the poplar has a more spacious interior. In forward facing mode, both seats have a lock off mechanism which enables you to get them very tightly installed but the Britax is simpler than the lock off on Graco. Graco is theoretically also a booster so if that’s compelling that’s another consideration. Both seats have bike helmet foam around the child’s head. The britax is better in rear facing as it holds higher weight and has a simpler installation and lock off for rear facing. Britax is flame retardant free fabric and no question the britax seat is heavier with more steel in it. I also feel the britax has a more aggressive frontal recline so if you want the seat reclined the britax felt more reclined to me. The other consideration is that if you do end up ever using it and rear facing, there will be an option to purchase an anti-rebound bar for the britax which Graco doesn’t offer so I do like that.

Do you know when ARBs will become available for these seats? It's a main reason I went with this seat but it doesn't seem like they're selling it yet and my child is rear facing so ideally I'd want it as soon as I can get my hands on it. Agree it overall feels cheaper vs our One4Life seats but we needed narrow with a second child in our other car. You don't point this out but I do like that fabric is actually dryer safe vs the One4Life it is not (as per their instructions) And I'm disappointed this isn't US made, I assumed it was. I would've been willing to spend a little more to know it was US made, personally.

That is a really good question. I should be able to answer this by Monday. I will circle back after I get an answer. I would also want the anti rebound bar and the seat is set up for it.

@lisagiannoumis3816 The ARB bars should be the end of this year (Dec 2023) or the start of Next Year (Jan/Feb 2024). That was the most current info I was able to get from speaking to Britax.

I called Britax with some questions and they said it is made in the US - were they lying to me?
@destinationbabykids
@destinationbabykids 7 месяцев назад
No they were not lying. Most of their line up is still made in the US. The seat I am reviewing in this video, the POPLAR, is made in China and so are their Willow Infant seats. Britax customer service is some of the best in the industry and they go above and beyond training them to make sure they can effectively communicate very difficult information to customers all day. I appreciate that it sometimes is hard to get a straight answer from customer service sometimes but I am sure they did not intentionally mislead you. Hope this helps to clear this up for you.

Poplar vs clek foonf?
@destinationbabykids
@destinationbabykids 11 дней назад
Foonf has more safety features. It's also made in Canada not China. I don't love Clek for 3 car seats immediately next to each other because I personally struggle with their forward facing installation when I don't use the rigid lower anchors but aside from this really very specific use case scenario I love the Foonf. I used a Foonf for the primary car seat for my nephew and my sister and my nephew LOVED that car seat. So I am biased but most people who have Clek Foonfs really like them. Poplar is still a great seat and I would argue a forward facing belt installation on a poplar is much easier for a majority of parents vs a clek foonf ff seatbelt only installation. So again use specific but I would always give clek props for their safety and commitment to being made in Canada.

@@destinationbabykids I would choose the foonf, but some things like not beaing able to machine wash the fabric, not having a no-rethreat harness or just being too large stops me. I don't care about the price, I don't care about putting 3 across... Britax one4life maybe? As it's made in the US and might be usefull as a booster or is the foonf the king of the security hill? Gina, you are amazing, thanks for taking the time to help us, love your channel

@@Tassadar89 one4life is no longer made in the US its all China now which is really sad. And clek has a new fabric that zips off for easy cleaning. But I agree the No rethread harness can be annoying. You know you might like the Peg Perego Kinetic 5-65. Made in Italy has the anti rebound bar built in and is a very good price for the quality. I had that one for my step mother and she loved using it so might be worth a look. Thank you so much for watching :) OMG this is one of my oldest videos.
