Probably one of the last times a British Airways jet was spotted at Luton.
In November 2013 the winds blew, and diverts were a plenty.
This British Airways 767 (G-BNWD) found itself a land at Luton EGGW the night before, I managed to film this rare bird departing empty to repositon the day after and I assume the landed passengers had been sent by bus into London.
BA retired the 767’s from the fleet at the end of August 2016, the aircraft filmed was a 767-300ER and was delivered as new In Feb 1990, since retirement - it’s fate is unknown….
It was fitted with two Rolls Royce RB211 Engines and as you can here they aren’t Half good!
I was quite surprised to see this heavy not back track on Luton’s relatively short runway, viva the Rolls Royce!
Enjoy! 😊
