really interesting to see the space reduction of the aisle to accomodate a 1-2-1 layout, same as the 777 fit out. Hope there's still enough room to move around.
This retrofit can’t come soon enough. I flew business class on G-ZBJC around 12 days ago with my family. I feel completely ripped off. It cost £15k for my family of 4 to fly MAA-LHR-MAA (which we do every year) in business class and we found that 3 of our 4 seats were faulty. The seat motors constantly trip due to over current because they’re no longer being properly maintained. To add insult to injury, they stocked only 6 chicken dishes between 37 BC passengers so we had to choose an alternative veg dish which gave 2 of us food poisoning.
Look into Emirates, a far better business class product than BA. If you’ve got £15k a year spare just to spend on flights, it might be better to look elsewhere in the market.
@@devon896 yes that’s what I meant by the lack of maintenance. BA knows the seat will be replaced soon, so the cleaning / greasing regime is not happening on time.
@@mwd331 I’ve flown Emirates 🇦🇪 twice now. It has the advantage that I can fly on to BHX which is closer to my family’s homes. However, the change at DXB is tough for my family. We have 2.5yr old twin daughters. Also, the Emirates 777 isn’t proper lie flat. It’s lie on a slope! To get a decent experience you have to fly on their A380 which only serves 1 leg of my route. Also the baggage allowance is crap. They follow the weight concept. Whereas, with BA I get 250kgs for my family and I use it ! 😂
Lovely interior.....but please make sure you double check the fuselage rivets while you're at it! I am hesitant to fly on a 787 right now because i don't trust Boeing when they say all the aircraft out there are "safe". What is British Airways doing to reassure the public in thos regard?
The 787 has never had a fatal accident in its over 10 years of existence. Media is designed to scare you into clicking on it. If the 787 had serious problems that immediately affected flight, it would be grounded
@@mohwybar5832 I heard the words of a Boeing quality control expert testify in front of the DOJ live on TV and then I heard the Boeing CEO try to defend the company. I wasn't convinced. The media's involvement in that was simply live streaming what happened.
As it is a Boeing, make sure you refit the plug doors correctly. I’m sure you will because you are Welsh, unlike some other individuals in Seattle, Washington?
@@mohwybar5832 so obviously Boeing have no problems with their credibility that seriously been ramped up the last six years with 737 max aircraft and numerous other problems with quality control. And of course if you are X Boeing engineers who then whistle blow you will end up being dead.
@@devon896 Boeing corporation is in severe crisis, but because they supply that much to US military that keeping it under wraps pretty much like they’ve been doing with that idiot supposedly the commander-in-chief Joe Biden, it is total corruption. I don’t give a damn about to 737, 777, 787 and that even includes space, travel where they can’t get the astronauts back to earth
Extremely disappointed with @British_Airways. The staff is the worst I have seen. Kids were terrified, tired, and sick due to the delay and the way the staff treated us. #CustomerService #FlightDelay
It's a nice retorfit - but unfortunately - I purposely avoided booking with @British Airways for my upcoming trip as they were only using Boeing Aircraft. Ended up booking with Lufthansa and the A350
Just about to book my first holiday in ages and I’m so glad I’ve seen that British Airways still continues to support values that most British people find abhorrent. Vote Reform UK and fly Emirates.
