Join me on my return trip from Lanzarote back to London Gatwick, a trip I made at the end of my holiday there last month. We visit the VIP Guacimeta Lounge (one of the most basic lounges I've ever been in!) prior to departure.
Another solid Club Europe flight, but you have to wonder what BA were thinking of with a starter of poached pears, stilton cheese and dill sauce - unnecessarily daft, complex, and not acceptable for something so niche to be the only choice! Why not just have a salad?

Always loved your intro's buddy, it set your videos apart from other peoples, though I'm sure people will start copying it ! The smoking terrace in the lounge outside, looked much better than inside. How many of BA's A320' don't have a window in 1F, i'm flying one to TLL and definitely don't want to have that happen, maybe I should switch to 2F to be safe. Excellent video as always.

+When I Travel The World Cheers. It's just one A320, G-MEDK and it's based solely at Gatwick. So no danger of getting it from LHR. :-) Will invest in Final Cut and a MacBook after the summer so I might get a different intro!

could sympathize with your reaction to the starter, the worst cold on a plane I have ever had was this year on a flight from Frankfurt, I still shudder now thinking about it! another super video, really enjoyed it :-)

What is the best company to fly to Canary Islands? I was 2 times there on holidays and 3 times I fly with Ryanair and its so so... Once with EasyJet and it was horrible experience, so I wonder how tui or jet2.com are?

Seeing that Iraqi aircraft,perhaps a future journey might be to do a trip report to Bahgdad! Don' know if there is any travel restrictions for UK residents to that embattled country--surrprised that BA leaves the cabin lights on during landing

Awesome video! I couldn't believe that you need to pay to get into the lounge even you are BA gold! BA should partner up with someone in Arrecife!

We were told we had no access to the lounge in Arrecife and made to pay - I contacted BA and they said that it was not correct and we should have been admitted - so beware, if you don't have a Priority Pass, they won't let you in!

That’s a shame BA told you that. There is no access to the lounge in Arrecife for BA customers whether it’s through status or class of travel. You can check lounge access here: www.oneworld.com/ffp/lounge-access/-/loungeaccess/ACE/-1 - Iberia fine, BA not. BA were wrong to tell you that you should have access. They don’t have a contract with that lounge in Arrecife.

Loved your reaction to the Poached Pear, Dill and Stilton Cheese serving. Who eats that stuff? Haute couture fashion models. It puts them off food so much, they are afraid to get near it for two to three weeks.

It is actually, in many rows on short haul it’s 29 inches. Ryanair have a standard 30.

Poached pear Stilton and dill 😂 whoever thought of that meal must have been taking some wacky drugs! That’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard of. Business class on BA is awful, flew with them once across to Washington and never again. The long haul ‘business’ class is not fit for purpose.

I cook a lot and in fact pear (poached or otherwise) paired with Stilton and other blue cheeses is a classic combination; when made correctly it is delicious. However I'd never ever serve it as part of an airplane meal (the factors of taste at 30K feet need consideration), and certainly not the way yours looked and was presented. Very unfortunate, but nice rest of the video.
