The original hull "Ascod" was designed for 20-25 tons and now its overloaded at 38-42 tons , jigging of hulls and some welding poor . Larger engine produces different vibration frequencies along with length and width reduction . Really they have produced 400 plus prototypes without the testing phase and modifications !

117 db noise recorded by government and about 180 db when the gun fires lol

​@@dernadaarmando2948 80 db to 90 db typical for tank, louder when firing. Each 3db increase doubles the sound energy and 23 % increase in volume so a bit more has a big effect . If the vibration is high as in 1980's M109 at top speed on tarmac the lungs resonate making breathing interesting experience !

But the warrior is very old and out of date. It's like saying just put a new engine and a couple of addons onto Ford Cortina it was an amazing car for its day but you can't expect it to be as good as a brand new VW Passat. Why we didn't buy the CV90 though is beyond me it was off the shelf and we would have likely been in service almost a decade faster.

​@@wsm7929because when the army issued it's list of requirements for a base GP armoured vehicle the CV90 failed in two areas and no I don't know what it failed on but the requirements were drawn up by the army not the mod so I assume it was practical reasons. If the internet had been around during the chally2 and warrior development phase every RU-vid expert would have called them a waste of money and needed to be scrapped warrior in it's development phase caused far more soldiers to chuck up their lunch then ajax and the number of squeaks, whines and rattles were horrendous, because of bad design the engine turned the fighting compartment into a sauna the amount of troops suffering moderate to serious dehydration before even getting out of warrior caused a pause in the development phase. Every development program has it's troubles and always have the biggest difference today is it's so easy to spread negativity often based on exaggerated information to a group of willing experts who've never been involved in a development phase and test.

It is a shame they cancelled the Warrior upgrade.

According to the MOD, crew members have been issued with improved headsets to diffuse the noise and prevent any more hearing damages..

Isolation controls for seats and driving controls , extra comfy seat cushions and noise cancelling head sets , they are also looking at changing the sprocket ring teeth profile to reduce track noise !

The Ajax variants are replacing the CVRT’s I believe.

The Boxer is replacing Warrior

I think they still use 432 with a turret for gpmg they had this in osnabruck Germany 1976
