Yes it is a transferrable qualification, however depends which type you done (DIPHE, FDSC OR BSC). Plus, it's worth speaking to the HCPC about the conditions, in case they need you to go back and complete more training.

Great video, I have a question, I’ve signed up for rifles and passed my medial to join however I’m an amateur boxer and have a dodge nose meaning I can’t breath through it so I’m a mouth breather will this be an issue with coprals ect at training? Thanks

You should be alright as long as it isn't serious and dont tell anyone unless it becomes more serious and is harming your health
@wallbars8684
@wallbars8684 3 года назад
Mate, I had the same injury myself from boxing training whilst in the army. My breathing was screwed up big time and meant I had to sleep with my mouth open each night, waking with a dry mouth each morning. I got this fixed at one of the BMH's (British military hospital) in Germany at the time which returned my breathing to normal. All I can suggest is try and get it fixed before you join up as otherwise you may find physical training a lot more demanding/difficult, e.g. running with respirator on, etc. Good luck 👍

I was planning on putting STA Patrols Special Observer as my second choice (with Household Cavalry being my first and either King's Troop or AS90 as my third) on my job choices. Would this mean I would be given the second choice over the other two because of the role that it is?
@CombatReadyHQ
@CombatReadyHQ 3 года назад
All depends on spaces, you don't normally pick the regiment till phase two, so my guess is you would put Household Calvary Regiment and then royal Artillery

Do you know if you can re-apply if you have a previous rejection?.... I was rejected in October 2020 on old mental health issues but was wanting to re-apply in 2 years as a combat medic.... amazing video!
@kierman99
@kierman99 3 года назад
You can. You most likely would have been deferred, meaning you have a set amount of time before you can apply again. For instance 2 years or something. That’s not always the case so it could be worth to call up the recruitment teams, explaining to them and see what they say on the matter and joining in the future.

Hi adam I’m hoping to get in the guards, how is it? Is it worth it? And do you have any advice ? Cheers
@adamhand2145
@adamhand2145 3 года назад
@@drewfoster2375 I've only just got into phase two but so far I would advice the Guards heavily. just going through training it's an incredible feeling of pride with how high the standards are that expected of you and you are constantly reminded what it is you're going into. Also in comparison to many other regiments the guards has a huge amount of combative opportunities once in battalion which you might not get from other regiments. Only advice is play the game. Every training team will take pride in trying to make training as hard physically and mentally as possible. it needs to be far and for your own pride you should want it to be hard so just be prepared for the hard times and the mind games but just get through it as the rewards are all there on the other side

It's called the Foundation Medic course. It's a modified version of the Common Core program, but with more clinical placements. It's done alongside RAF and Royal Navy medics.

Do you have the same opportunity to do all arms commando course as a medic, i know you get the opportunity to become a paratrooper medic after training but so far from researching its just p coy that's available any replies will be helpful I have my assessment centre on 26th of April
@kierman99
@kierman99 3 года назад
You can attach to commando units and I’m pretty sure you can do the all arms course. However compared 16AA which have their own medical regiment you tend to see a lot more of them compared than commandos as the commandos mainly take from navy medics. But it is still possible, you would most likely be in a support brigade however. Hope that helps

Can you take this qualification to work in other countries?
@gusjeazer
@gusjeazer 7 месяцев назад
Usually, yes. But you would need to go through some bureaucracy to get your qualifications matched to the local equivalent. In some countries there is no equivalent of the job role of paramedic, so you might get downgraded to a very basic level or you might only be able to work in a hospital. If the qualification is on a bachelor level, you shouldn't have any problems going to other places.
