My son Ben has done a couple of afgan tours. He had mk7 on his first tour second tour mk8. He has told me he and many others wish they stayed with the mk7.
The virtus helmet is extremely hard to come by because they rarely come legitimately through the correct channels of disposals. The MK7 helmets are easier to get and you may be looking anywhere up to £100 for one. Best places to look is a UK surplus store or online
Two questions one is have you served just a random question because I am interested not trying to call u out for being a walt and what is the nvg mount called for the mk7 and the head band
No mate not served. Appreciate the question in the friendly sense. Unsure of the exact name for the bracket but it’s the same as the one for the mich series of helmets and it’s designed for the rhino nvg mount. The headband is just a cats eyes band
Unfortunately not. I’ve had a look online too and can only find the instructions of measuring from source (virtus). I think my helmet size is M and my head size is 58cm. I would expect a small to go up to 55cm and a large up to 62cm but don’t quote me on that. Hope this helps
Unfortunately I don’t have a picatinny rail to add to the helmet but it would literally just use the same mounting screw as the one that holds the nvg mount on
