just added your channel. love the couple reactions of PTX. Since you like Kevin Olusola, the Beatboxer as much as I do check out some of his RU-vid solo, home studio sessions like ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zD9Sddo0IlY.html it's "FRIENDS" (Marshmello & Anne-Marie KOver) - Kevin Olusola. or another fav of mine is ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IGjg193h4Ok.html Down (Marian Hill KOver) . His talent will blow your mind
Michael was only like 7 years old the first time he had a hit with his brothers. He was 50-ish when he died. That’s more than 4 decades with top-10 hits in every decade. It’s worth listening to his entire catalog. There are very few artists who’ve had more impact on popular music than MJ
Welcome to Pentatonix !!! I could be telling you here all day, how they are no doubt the very best acapella group, how great they treat, and react with their fans. How they don't walk around with their nose in the air, but are really down to earth, and a great group of people. And so so so much more. But there's only so much time. Lol I will say, they have close to 200 songs now, none are bad. Some are just more amazing. I Absolutely know you both would really love them, and be absolutely amazed like all us Pentaholics. Please do yourselves a favor, and enjoy, and be prepared to be amazed, by the Absolute Best Acapella group, there has ever been. Welcome to Pentaholics 101. 😄👍
Pentatonix is amazing. I Love Hallelujah, The Prayer. Amazing Grace, Mary Did You Know. You should let Millie hear some of those. Would love to see her reaction to those. Ive seen you react to one of those. You guys are awesome. Thank you!
If you are interested in their beginnings and how they’ve grown watch their performances on the a Capella contest show The Sing Off. They won Season 3 in 2011. The 5 of them, 16 groups competing. Some with 18-20 members. They were special right from the start.
This group has one three Emmy's. The only change has been on the bass singer, Matt for Avi(the bearded person), the bass in this song. They stared in 2011 on a show called Sing Off.
For the wife you have to do "My Heart With You" and of course "Bohemian Rhapsody". They are supremely talented. "The Prayer" should be their next (4th) Grammy Award, it is stunning!!
Hey y'all! SO glad you did this one!!!! Mitch, Scott and Kirsty went to the high school my daughter attends. And back in the day my voice teacher ended up being their choir director. Such a fun group to watch!
I think you guys would also enjoy their original song “Sing”. They have around 200+ videos, mostly covers along with original stuff....so, pick songs you like & they’ve probably covered it & added their unique spin. I haven’t found a bad song by them yet! They are an amazingly talented group! Love that you went to separate earphones for music 😂 Smart move 👍🏻
Yep, I feel that Pentatonix is at the Top of the acapella groups at this time (in my opinion). You should check out their more current music and there original songs, I just Love them! 😍🤗
Billboard says PENTATONIX has achieved what had previously been thought of as “impossible”. Pentatonix has successfully bought acapella into the MAINSTREAM. They are now one of the most successful cappella groups in music history!
You should do one of their Grammy Award winners. I recommend "Daft Punk" or "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy", they get very creative in those two. If you want one that features Kirsten, I recommend "Wizard of Ahhhs" (Also creative, but PTX did not do they creativity, it was written and directed by Toddrick Hall and is on his channel) I won't tell you what they do, but it is amazing and a total surprise. It also has one of Avi's super low notes he is known for.
Love you all and PTX. I’d recommend reacting to some of their other Evolution videos, Ariana Grande, Rihanna, Beyoncé. Oh also their 90’s Dance Medley. Thanks for the great reaction!!
OMGOODNESS Millie is in for a treat! I hope y’all keep digging deep into PTX. I heard a group that Scott (the blonde) introduced on the Kelly Clarkson show. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CqKl973jypM.html The are called Acapop kids… kids singing acapella and they are AMAZING! You should react to them, too! The evolutions are a lot of peoples favorites, but I am more partial to the full songs they sing… BUT I do love ❤️ the evolutions. I can’t remember what you have reacted to. Some to consider (but ALL are great): “Come Along”, “Bohemian Rhapsody”, “Hallelujah”, ”Sound of Silence”, “Sing” (an original)… that’s just scratching the surface.
Congratulations! You are now officially "Pentaholics". They have done so many amazing videos, both covers and originals. Check them out. Love your channel.
Wooooo hoooo very nice always enjoy you two on your videos. Hey.... I'm from NEW JERSEY... haven't seen you two anywhere!! LOL Now that you've done Pentatonix, you two have to do Home Free and I would suggest you "Start" with Home Free - Man of Constant Sorrows" or "End of the Road"
I am soooo happy you've finally decided to react to them!! You will notice that your subscribers will blow up with Pentaholics like me (even though I've been subscribed to you for quite a while) . Please react to the following from them: Bohemian Rhapsody Hallelujah The Prayer Daft Punk (They won a Grammy for this) Can't Hold Us Imagine (get tissues) Sound of Silence A-Ha live in Singapore (Mitch will blow your mind in this one) Radioactive (You'll see Kevin cello-box in this. He is so talented it's unbelievable) Aside from Pentatonix I'd love to see your reaction to Metallica -Enter Sandman Live in Moscow. I love you guys and your videos. You make my day 🥰🥰
Sweet, just ordered a Beesleys flowing tee!! I'd love for you to react to Pentatonix version of Imagine by John Lennon. It's really appropriate now. Thanks James and Millie. It's been really cool to watch the channel grow and the content develop. ☮
You guys need to check out Home Free…they are also ab ACapella-nothing but the 5 people in the group. They are fantastic! Try Man of Constant Sorrow, Hillbilly Bone, Butts Melody, When A Man Loves A Woman, Brothers In Arms (they did this one for Veterns Day). They were also on the show “Sing Off” in 2013 which is season and won. They have gave over 130 videos on yt. Great reaction!
The Home Free group is absolutely fantastic! I like Pentatonix, but Home Free can’t be matched. They’ve recently posted Unchained Melody and it’ll move you to tears.
I just started watching you guys after seeing Lawrence acknowledge your reaction videos of Lost in the Pond. But you guys seem really cool and sweet and I love that you are curious to learn about the US and its cultural differences with the UK. I also love when you call viewers “absolute legends.” 😅 It’s so cool lol. Greetings from Denver, CO USA. 👍🏽
I would LOVE more Pentatonix. I watched them on the SingOff ten years ago and have been buying their music since, but didn't get into their videos until the pandemic. Watching them sing just cheers me up. I have my favorites, but when you are starting out I think it's good for you to just look at what they've done and pick something that looks interesting to you.
Awesome video these guys are second to none. They have 3 Grammys. Check out hallelujah and the sound of silence. Gotye "somebody that I used to know", shallow, they have a million great covers!! Always a daft punk cover.
It might be cool to do some of their Sing Off performances. You can see how much they have grown in the 11 years. And if you are a fan of Kevin Olusola (beatboxer) I highly suggest checking out his solo channel too. His KOver are him building the cover song as a one man show; beatboxing, singing, playing the cello, mixing, and percussion
Ear buds are essential to hear bass and harmonies, over the ear headphones are much better yet. Once you try headphones while listening to PTX, you’ll never go back. Thanks for reacting to PTX.
By all means use the earphones for music, especially a Capella (greetings, fellow Pentaholics and Home Fries). If you both have access to the pause go for it. You'll hear each other while it's paused, and wouldn't want to talk without pausing because you'll miss the next cool thing.
@@janew4609 Yes Home free is excellent. I recommended Man of constant sorrow, because of all the beat boxing and the Harmonica sound he makes. Tim Foust just put out a solo Album called Pieces of me. His rendition of Will you still love me tomorrow/Stay is 9ut of this world.
The 3 standing were in high school choir together. I saw them in person in 2015, also went to the last tour of the Jackson 5 and got to go meet them after the concert
please do all of their Evolutions. The Evolution of Rihanna is my other favorite and really showcases their ability to not only arrange songs and execute them flawlessly, but also capture the spirit and style of each artist. I even enjoyed their Evolution of Ariana Grande and I didn't think I would because I don't consider myself a fan of Ariana's music, but they knocked it out of the park.
AH! Someone suggested SING... that is an excellent one! It's also an original, and they include some of their patrons in the video.. an upbeat and very happy song..
Home Free is my favorite vocal band and the have a great sense of humor: Originals: Don’t It Feel Good, Champagne Taste On a Beer Budget, Full of Cheer Covers: Man of Constant Sorrow, Country Fried Pop Medley, Meet In the Middle, Do You Hear What I Hear. The beatboxer Adam Rupp is a Freak of Nature. His beatboxing solos from 2018, and 2021 are mind blowing!
you need to see their Daft Punk one. they won a Grammy for it. Also their covers of Bohemian Rhapsody, and Sound of Silence and their originals of Sing, Happy Now, and many more . They have won 3 grammies
Great reaction. Thank you. More Pentatonix reactions please. "Evolution Of Rihanna" is my favorite Evolution Of... video. They do have an "Evolution Of Beyonce" video which is great.
I am thrilled to see you react to PTX. I am obsessed with this group, listen to them every day. They have a way of brightening even your worst days. Really hope there will be more in he future. The choices are endless and every time you think you have heard their very best a new song comes along to prove you wrong. 💜
@@janew4609 All of us acapella fans tend to lean just a bit heavier toward one of top groups of the genre more than the other but we all seem to respect that personal choice and cheer for each other's 'favorite team' I think the rest of this crazy polarized world could learn something from us. I love Home Free as well. They are wonderfully creative, genuine and wildly talented.
I followed the bass singer Avi Kaplan when he left. He was a founding member of Pentatonix and now has his own musical career as a singer-songwriter. He will be in the U.K. next month to finally get to continue his European tour that was interrupted by the pandemic. Think Rag N Bone Man or Hozier in style.
Since you guys like patriotic Americana, check out "Proud to be an American" by Lee greenwood in collaboration with The United States Air Force Band, Singing Sergeants and Home Free; or if your in the mood for some theatrical rock -n-roll check out the video for Meatloaf's "Paradise by the Dashboard Light".
It was so good to see you both on, reacting. PTX is my favorite group. I love them. I would not mind if you reacted to all of PTX's songs. I love to watch you two. I loved the cooking one with the Pecan Pie! So Epic! Thanks!
Would LOVE to hear more Pentatonix (PTX) reactions from you. Such as "POP Spring 2016", "Bohemian Rhapsody", "The Prayer", "Sing" (an original song of theirs!). Subscribed to hear more PTX reactions. Thanks.
Gotta react to their Daft Punk Medley, it. really got them going. Filmed in one of the groups flat, they spent $300.00 on it and it wins them their 1st Grammy Award.
You should check out some of Peter Hollens’ medley covers (he usually collaborates with another artist for medleys). He also got his start on The Sing Off (like Pentatonix) as part of the acapella group “On the Rocks”. (Actually, I’d love to see your reaction to On the Rocks’ arrangement of Gaga’s Bad Romance, but I digress.). I normally recommend “Friend Like Me in every musical style” that Hollens did with Anthony Vincent. 😁
