This video you’re reacting to gets Napoleon’s battle tactics categorically wrong. Barring Austerlitz, these are all - tactically speaking - Napoleon’s least interesting battles. Seriously, I think anyone would be hard-pressed to find worse examples of Napoleonic tactics. Obviously, this is just a cheep video trying to capitalize on the movie, but the movie itself is a terrible source!!! None of this to say these battles are uninteresting. Waterloo, Toulon, and the Pyramids are all some of the most dramatic engagements of the era. They just don’t showcase good Napoleonic tactics. If you want to see real Napoleonic battle tactics, or just good videos about Napoleon in general, I cannot recommend highly enough Epic History TV’s series on the Napoleonic wars.
If you guys want more of the history side of things I highly recommend the channel "Kings and Generals" they cover all throughout history but they do have a playlist for the Napoleonic Wars though it is one of there older ones. They also have videos on wars like the 100 years war and the war of the roses. And they also purely cover the facts and arent judgemental towards one side or the other even though i believe the hosts are british(could be canadian)
The napoleon movie is British propaganda :P Napoleon was a charismatic leader and reformed alot of european law during his reign. But also alot of what he accomplished came down to chance.
Not sure if this guy was paid by the studio as he gives impression that what happens in the film is how he describes it leaving out the many inaccuresies. Such as at Toulon frech attacked an fort protected by wooden palisade not an medieval wall. In egypt bit it gives impression that the "what's wrong about artistic licence" was the one that won the battle rather than tactics as he described. At Austerlitz it ice played no role in the battle plan and was something that ended up happening once the battle was over.
