Move the Grinch's mouth? He never sang. It was just a song that was in the background of the movie lol. Edit: Good job Millie. Sometimes two heads are better than one.
I'm a tree worker, and my twin brother used to be as well. The cool part is, he actually got hired to trim the trees on a particular property. That property being owned by none other than Dr. Seuss. Now he passed away awhile ago, but at the time his wife was still alive and living there. He said the property was filled with statues of characters and they were hired to trim the trees and make them resemble trees from the books.
Thanks Millie for pointing out the Grinch didn't sing. Although his thoughts were voiced by Boris Karloff and it fit perfectly! Have watched the show since I was 4 years old when it first showed on TV in 1966 and still sing along. 🎄 Merry Christmas to you both!
I see everyone posting about the original tv short, if they are to young to remember it or only seen the live action movie. In that movie from 2000, the Grinch, Jim Carrey sings the song to him self. That is 21 years ago. So you can see the confusion.
It’s actually hard for speaking in projections if you want that. It’s a programming issue we can’t quite figure out yet. We figured out movement but not speaking. Disney had to figure out timing for their stuff by showing clips of characters singing from movies and time it perfectly which is a chore in itself. A projection show for Disney takes a year to plan and six months of tweaking constantly to get it right on the dot hence why a show lasts for at least 18 months for every night time show including fireworks. Honestly after launching the 50th anniversary night time show in October, they are already planning out their next show after the 50th ends in the summer because they have to. It never ends. This is good for a little neighborhood thing as it brings joy although it took a lot of programming. Honestly it’s a good job for amateur projections. You have only so much skill so you do what you can.
Hi guys! MERRY CHRISTMAS to you both! I made this comment prior to Millie pointing out what I said below in my comment. Well done, fair play to you Millie! 😁 Beasly, with the greatest of respect, in regards to your comment about the Grinch’s lips moving, in the original 1965 cartoon version, when the Grinch shows up, I was always under the impression that the Grinch was not the one singing the song. It is a song about him. The actual singer, voice over actor, Thurl Ravenscroft, used every negative adjective he could to describe the Grinch. It makes no sense for the Grinch to describe himself so negatively and in the third person. It’s been a few years since I saw this classic, but if I recall correctly, the Grinch never speaks as such. It’s just the narrators, Boris Karloff and others, informing the viewers what he was saying, like a storyteller doing just that, telling a story. Again, my best to you both and may you and your families have a safe holiday season! 😎
I would imagine that you would have to listen to it on a car radio. Because otherwise, it playing over and over for everyone who comes upon it would disturb neighbor's. So you probably could not just walk up and listen. You would need to be able to access a specific channel that its broadcasting on. Its pretty cool though.
You should watch the police stations and the fire stations do the Christmas light shows. What they do with their vehicles are amazing!! I will look for some titles for you and comment them below for you. ♥️🎄
Bees we have a saying here in the US..."it is better to keep quiet and let people think you are dumb , than to speak and remove all doubt". lol...just joking. it's your world Beez...we all just livin in it. merry ho ho, way to make the channel grow bro. you da man Beez
But the Grinch is not speaking when they sing "your a mean one, Mr. Grinch" so no reason for his mouth to move. Glad you caught yourself. Is the animated original version your favorite? It is mine, but I must say Jim Carey did a great job playing the Grinch in the live action.
You two should check out some musical artist that go on omegle surprising people. Harry Mack, Marcus Veltri, The Dooo, and Rob Landes are the best. Harry Mack is my favorite, but all of them are super talented and amazing.
Hey guys! I’m James from Fitz Studios, the creator of this projection show. I just wanted to thank you for this. I worked on this show for months and to see it appreciated by both of you means the world to me. Best wishes from New York❤️
Now here's a wild theory about Dr. Seuss lore: if The Grinch didnt change his mind and give back everything he stole from Whoville, he could've been the catalyst for the destruction of their civilization! If you remember Horton Hears A Who, Horton discovers Whoville on a speck of dust, and thanks to his huge ears he can hear and communicate with them when nobody else can, and proves its existence by having the Whos make as much as they can. But in the Grinch Christmas movie, The Grinch hates all the noise that the other Whos make so he goes down there and takes all their shit to shut them up. So depending on if How The Grinch Stole Christmas happens canonically before Horton Hears A Who, and if The Grinch actually followed through with his plan, he would've been the asshole that ended their world.
"move the Grinch's mouth"...but the Grinch isn't the one singing. (?) The words are "Mr. Grinch, *you* really are a heel" - not "I'm Mr. Grinch, I really am a heel"... (?) ---Oh, Okay, Millie does speak up later. As you cam tell I'm commenting AS I'm watching lol.
Those who 'have' watched it many times, know it is not the narrator and voice of the Grinch, Boris Karloff, singing "You're A Mean One Mr. Grinch"....it is Thurl Ravenscroft who sang it.
This is from How The Grinch Stole Christmas from 1966. All of our generation of kids grew up watching this every year. The movie was made, what?, more than 50 years later? I was 7 and I still love the OG but Jim Carrey did a great job tho. Have you heard Pentatonix sing Your A Mean One, Mr. Grinch? Awesome cover.
Hello guys from Palm Bay, FL 🌴 👋 I know you were disappointed with the grinch not moving his mouth but the grinch never sang that song, he was in the background 😊👍🇺🇲
At the point you were watching when the presents and stuff was being taken the Grinch was saying anything in the cartoon version.. Some one else was singing about him. Millie was very correct about the song..
Welcome to the original Grinch That Stole Christmas. Featuring one of your own as the narrator, Boris Karlov. Think the movie Frankenstein from the 30s or 40s. A scary guy with a scary voice, but was a nice and humble man.
You should react to capitals in the United States because some people think it’s other cities For example they think Chicago is the capital of Illinois or New York City the capital of New York

*FYI, projection mapping costs roughly $10,000 per one minute of 3D animation video content. Plus the costs of the projector, media servers, hard drives…. This is an approximately $60,000 projection. Isn’t that insane? Lol*
When baby gets little older come visit colorado north pole. It specializes in every Christmas. Every exticing for children. And audits. Santa's work shop cool. Near colorado springs
You two are an absolute delight to watch. I have been binge watching your videos and I simply can't get enough. Sometimes funny. Sometimes emotionally moving. Always educational. Thank you for your efforts. May you be exceedingly blessed in all you do.
Question, what do you think of American accent? When I call Radley to purchase wallets or purse, they usually ask me to talkors!! Too cute and funny!! I love out British accent. Some,I truly can't understand. But ,there are American accent I don't understand as well!! Usually the south.Or some just speak too fast.Just wondering, thanks!!
The original TGTSC (1966) songs were sung by Boris Karloff and performed and conducted by Eugene Poddany and Thurl Ravenscroft. Lyrics by Dr Seuss of course. Modern performances are by a band called Sixpence None the Richer. So That somebody (Boris Karloff)made scores of horror movies but is most famous for his lead role in 1931's Frankenstein as "the monster". Awesome stuff!
The Grinch spoke very little in the program. Boris Karloff narrated the original program and voiced the Grinch. That is why his mouth wasn't moving in this animation.
Wow I'm about 30 seconds into this and I've never seen anything like that that is one hell of a projector I'll tell you for one I have a screen protector I paid about $1,000 for her and it wouldn't even come close to being that good!! Much less have everything fit the house just right these people are geniuses!! And just so I say it the Grinch wasn't singing the song his mouth doesn't need to move he's just a douche!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Less than 30 seconds after you said that you figured it out you guys rock!! I however have a lot of doubts that this is even real especially since it said animated by James Fitzpatrick!!! He's a famous special effects artist..
You don't have projection shows in the UK? We setup drive in theatres for the neighborhood & our church. It must have been very boring during lock down there. Rear projections don't work that well on a bed sheet. But they sell fabric just for that & the people don't complain when there is a 'glitch'. Because the show is free. Millie next time Beesley goes off on a tangent, punch him in the arm. LOL!!
I've been tuning in every day since I discovered your channel just a couple weeks ago. I think you were around 30k subscribers then and you're up to almost 50k at the time I'm watching this video. Love the content. Keep it up.
It usually ends up that when homes are decorated to this specific extent, that someone in the home works as or worked as either a Disney Imagineer, or some form of animation artist or park designer
I have never seen anything like this before. Awesome! I love the Grinch story too. I look forward to seeing the movie each year. As always, the two of you are just the cutest! Thanks again for a great review.
So does Millie have a friend or family member that went to Harvard or goes to Harvard now? Here in the US, most people who are too young or old for college don't wear sweatshirt from the college they go to, they wear one from a school someone they know goes to or went to.
