Comparing this WC title to Maradona's, we can say Messi's one has a bigger value because this time they won it all by themselves, while Maradona needed the "helping" "hand of God" to achieve the same. And because he missed that - almost entirely undeservedly awarded - penalty against Poland, now we can state that his WC title is an immaculate one.
two of those penalties were on „penalty time“ he scored 7 goals assisted 3 and was performing at his best at this age.just wow so so deserved for argentina also they‘re more of a big family than a football team just wonderful.
5:24 , I'm a Ronaldo fan but that's a Misconception bro , LUIS NANI saved Portugal and was more crucial. Ronaldo was good too but without NANI Portugal would've excited in the group stages and early knockouts. He's obviously overlooked because of the superstar.
He deserved it. I don't know you have seen or not but it is the fact that some his teammates unlucky game he has lost so many finals and semi finals. He deserved at least one WC and one more Cupa America. Whereas he got all awards and show the world "talant+hardwork+ humility" makes you the GOAT 🐐 he has never lost himself, he was always loyal to his family and friends. He is not selfish, that's why all his teammates love and respect him in all ages. Look just Ronaldinho, Deco, Xavi, Inieata from old generation, following Suarez and Neymar, and all Argentina teams. Even how psg players behaviour changed after his join.. he has never lost humanity. That's why he is much more perfect
When portugal won the euros griezman was the best player of that tournament but when argentina won the copa america n the WC messi was the best player of the tournament, big difference
He torches the best English teams most time he sees them in Europe including a hat trick vs city and four against arsenal and scoring in both finals against United. If u took Messi out of Barca and put him in the prem especially around the early 2010s he’d have every premier league goal scoring records
Again I have to remind English football fans that Portugal played better when Ronalso wasnt there, In the fina France were on top until Ronaldo got injured, THEN and only then did they play like a team and won. The Huge difference between Messi and Ronaldo is that Messi plays for the team (and just happens to be so good that he also creates his own records) Ronaldo has always ben about himself, THATS why is isnt in the GOAT conversation for real
I'm a little tired of being told that Saudi Arabia won well against Argentina. They won only because they discounted 3 goals, otherwise the game would have ended 4-2
Ehh i kinda disagree with what you said about Argentina not being the greatest team and being carried by Messi. I feel like that happened in past world cups but on this one Leo had a team that he could rely on. When he couldn't make it or made a mistake he had a teammate who could deliver. Look at Enzo Fernandez and Julian Alvarez, Emiliano Martinez as well. They were just as important as Leo. Also finally a decent coach
At other World Cups, Argentina had great individual skilled players that won a lot of things at their clubs but couldn't build a real team. That's because of the Maradona's effect: Argentina after Maradona was looking for a Top player and build a team around him. After losing most of the tournaments, Scaloni understood that it's not enoght to have the best player. You need a team. So in Qatar Argentina have a very well individual skilled players (not better than before) but a REAL and WELL BUILT team that had, of course, the best player. And that's why Argentina is the champion.
If you look at the players individually, they aren't really the best players of their position. And many were young and relatively less known players who are in their first ever World Cup. Compared to countries like France, England, and perhaps Portugal, who have players with names who have made their name in their club career like Mbappe, Griezmann, Rabiot, Varane, Giroud, Kane, Foden, Rice, Shaw, Walker, Pickford, Bruno Fernandez, Bernado Silva, Pepe, Cancelo, Felix, and more.
Portugal, Argentina and Netherlands are tied for most penalties scored in a World Cup with 4 each. Most penalties awarded goes to Argentina with 5 while most penalties awarded in World Cup final goes to France, 5 in 3 World Cup finals, including 4 in the last 2.
Please react to lionel messi the career full video the music the edit it is the best messi video I have ever seen it's a bit long but you should react to it!

Thanks 4 yr detailed grown-up up react [ Too tired watching many kids not knowing about football ]. Messi showed leadership, Skills,Everything. Messi highlights are my Dopamine daily dose
against direct competitors, Pelé never won European titles, Maradona never won American Cup, Ronaldo never won Champions and Cristiano never won World Cup. Messi won it all. But still there goes human factor: he and Di María as elder references of the team are earthly guys, humble friends, clean of dup, excellent family role, and original from poor neighbourhood. Di Maria only friends are the ones fromhis childhood, Messi, let aside english, lived since 13yo in Barcelona he never learnt catalan, never picked up even slight spanish accent, if you Argie you may think his voice is rare or mimicking, but he always, everywhere and only will speak to anyone his southern Rosario accent. how you will not back up idols like these
The thing is with this Argentina's team it was the first time that all the players were playing with and for their idol only, more than 70% of those guys played their first WorldCup, they grew up watching and idolazing Messi, some of them have pics with Messi that they took when they were childs. This "idol" thing has never happend or at least not that strong even with Maradona.
Ronaldo didn't drag portugal... that's the biggest myth...they haven't won a single game in group stages...ronaldo ain't the best player of the tournament..he didn't play in the final of the euros...and top of that the only good team they have faced was france in the finals.
Is more than that. He was the player with most big chances recieved and missed...in 5 games he was very bad (watch games or atleast check rating pages), so bad that is overall rating perfomance was not even the 50st best players. Only in 2 games where good and contribuited really to the game. Nani in 4 games had a really contribution and a way better overall perfmonace in the tournament. But then the myth he carried the team to an Euro...man, was a super lucky run in a lot of aspects and a lot of team effort. Then Messi wins or carry many many times the team to finals with super good overall perfomance (a lot of goals, assists, chances created, etc,...) and being MVP or at least one of the best of the best players in the tournament. 2x times best copa america player 2x best WC player x2 times 9 goals contributions in Copa America (insane stats) x1 time 10 goals contribution in a WC 5x times most assists in an international tournament 1x most goals in a tournament... 30 goals contributions in KO stages (11 in WC) ... ... And Cristiano individualls perfcomances? nobody speaks about that, only that he won a trophy... Then he even gets a special fifa honor and trophy for most goals scored international...for scoring tons of goals against amateurs teams...nice...
Hello friends, a suggestion from Buenos Aires, Argentina. They should subtitle the videos since here that way many more people would see them. greetings friends
@@DNReacts We in Argentina know that many football fans from England supported Messi and the argentinian footballl team in this wordlCup.... I watched another reations from England...Thank you guys ... Cheers from Argentina❤
I'm American, lived in England from 69 to 71. My heroes were George Best and Gordon Banks. Although I think Messi is the better overall player, the way Messi wanders through multiple defenders and scores reminds me of Best.
I acknowledge that I'm something of a polemicist. But I resist consensus, especially when it's bathed in recency bias and the emotion of a moment in time.... Therefore, count me amongst those who DON'T believe Messi is the best footballer of all time. That title rightfully belongs to Pelé. I'll break down my reasoning: Including the goals which FIFA does not count (almost exclusively club goals during so-called "barnstorming tours"), he scored almost 400 more goals than did Messi. He was the best player on THREE World Cup champion squads. That includes the 1970 team which many consider the best ever assembled. Messi's team needed a record number of awarded penalties in order to win in Qatar. And let's not forget, they did lose a match against the 51st ranked team in the world (not coincidentally, a match in which they were not awarded a penalty). Pelé accomplished what he did before transcontinental transfers were routine. For this reason, detractors who cite his lack of a European CV are chasing a red herring. He played against the best club competition in the world, during his professional career. If those weren't enough (and they are plenty, in my book), his larger significance cannot be discounted. For examples: Kings and queens, presidents and prime ministers, all rearranged their schedules and stood in line just to shake his hand. His presence literally stopped wars. He invented the concept of product placement advertising (Puma, 1970 WC - he arranged for a close-up of his boots as he tied his laces). Before the internet and social media, he was unto himself, a bigger and more recognizable brand than Coca Cola, McDonald's, and Disney. His appearance in a mainstream film (Escape to Victory, 1981) made said film a global phenomenon. It was released and re-released three separate times in France alone. In the twilight of his career, he played in a country with no footballing tradition to speak of (America). He filled stadia with 60,000-70,000 Americans, the majority of whom didn't know the first thing about proper football. But, they did know what Pelé meant to the world. Between his on-pitch accomplishments, and his larger significance as an icon, there will never be another Pelé. He is the giant upon whose shoulders Messi stands.
@@DNReacts Thank you. I neglected to mention the following... In the prime of his career, the Brazilian government officially declared Pelé a national treasure. It effectively rendered illegal any effort on the part of a European club to buy him from Santos. As I mentioned, his heyday was a very different era. It was unusual for South American players to go to Europe. With Brazil winning three WCs in four attempts, the domestic league was the best in the world, with the Argentinian, Uruguayan, and Chilean leagues not far behind. La Copa de Libertadores was the most prestigious club title in the world - more elite than the European Cup. As much as Argentina loves Messi, he never had the same impact domestically. I personally consider him a lesser player than Pelé, Maradona, and Zidane - but better than Ronaldo.
@@kentgrady9226 Bro said three wcs in 4 attempts like he was the best player in any of those three. One got injured, one was second best behind Garrincha and one was second best behind jairzinho
