We love it. We have our own tv channel for it, we have our own leagues, albeit amateur. I play for my local team, we do enjoy the sport, it just isn't a huge sport here yet

That's gonna take decades, NFL is putting a lot of money in the grassroots projects though with the kids programs. But they'll still never have the competition needed to get enough games in. Best bet is UK kids coming to the US when they are young at some football academies. Basketball academies do that a lot, tons of talented international students live, study and play ball here growing up.

I think the excessive amount of adverts is what makes it harder for international audiences to follow. I'm a very casual NFL follower (I don't support any particular team, but watched the Super Bowls since 2018 and followed the Tampa Bay Bucs when they won it in Tom Brady's first year there), I can't watch it live, I watch the replays with all that shit edited out. It's not like the ads are only between each quarter which would be tolerable, they're after every play. I don't get why they don't just do what top level soccer and other sports do, which is plaster the stadium and jerseys in sponsors. It looks tacky seeing your player running around in a jersey with the logos of BMW or Ford or Coca Cola or whatever on it but it doesn't get in the way of the game.

@@whosaidthat84 5 games every week but I usually watch 3 because the time difference. Thursday game that is on Prime Video. On sunday three games in different time, usually from CBS and NBC. And Monday game from ESPN. Every week are playing different teams. It’s on Premier Sport 2, which is on demand sport Channel here in Czech Republic. I don’t support any team. I have only New York Giants hat. My father was in New York and he came to their game and bought me this hat.
