British Military Saber | Guards

This is the third episode in my British saber series. Guards stayed roughly standardized but context changed the form a bit. Engaging is referring to approaching your opponent. Parrying is the blocking the sword.
I'd highly recommend using John Taylor's 10 Lessons to practice guards.

I love how quick and to the point these videos are, which is perfect for me without a lot of time and wanting to try to learn Saber again just for casual foam/padded sword fights I find myself in😅

I noticed you don't mention a leg slip with St. George. I'm new to saber, so is the leg slip only a thing in Roworth? Edit: Just found your mention at the end. Nevermind! Thanks for the video.

Thanks! I don't know. It could be from the images of Saint George standing over a dragon. In ones where he holds a sword it's a similar looking position. But that would likely be a misinterpretation by them, because it looks more like the medieval Vom Tag Guard.
