Al makes his pit bike debut at Whilton Mill alongside the British Mini Bike Championship. Just as fun as 'big bike' racing without the cost and bullshit. More deets on the bike and series here -44teeth.com/racing-pit-bikebadly/
I actually bought a pit bike when my son was born with the idea of doing this. The problem was I was at least five years too early to use him as an excuse.
Drop me an email: promotions@britishminibikes.com when we host track days we allow the British supermoto championship to test with us, i'll let you know when we have a track day coming up. We can also organise getting you guys over next season for a weekends racing with the BMB
please show more of this criac!! pitbike racing is so much fun and doesn't get enough coverage!! get Baron out on one and dual vlogs the race it would be so entertaining 😝
Minimoto is a great exercise both for on-bike coordination and reflexes. Regularly having some inexpensive fun on a kart track with these little monsters actually made me a better track day rider.
Cracking video Al! I did my first ever supermoto track day at Whilton and second and earlier on this week I just uploaded a vid of one of the sessions. I'm still learning and watching your video has genuinely helped me work out some of the lines, I'll be sure to try them out next time! -- not trying to ploy my channel or anything, but check it out if you fancy, always after constructive criticism
Naa naa naa, can't be dropping a baseline like that without mentioning where the tune came from haha. Any chance you could drop the title. Awesome vid by the way as normal, well done guys
I feel compelled to do this, but remember when I thought mini moto was a good idea after you boys went and proceeded to buckle myself in to the tyres. Good times!
hi guys I have a road legal demon x 120 I'm having some problems with it ATM it started smoking out the exhaust now I looked it up and it said my rings need changing now iv done all that and put all back together and its still smoking pls help ??????
Darian Lewis I know it's probably been sorted by now but maybe it's the head gasket has split between where the cam chain sits and where the cylinder is?
Every time I hear panting on a track video it reminds me of my first time doing a track day on my new bone stock 2017 FZ10 (MT10) comming from 2015 R1S 2 years of track days and trying on a Supernaked for the first time, whole video of panting , nothing but panting and panting! Lol
+Ben WoodHead Teeside Autodrome is where we hit highest speeds. Our calendar: www.britishminibikes.com/2016-championship . Nothing very close to Swansea unfortunately, but it's free to spectate and camp if you fancy coming to watch for a weekend.
seriously considering getting a pit bike but want to know how available track time is. whilton mill is the closest circuit to me, cant find anything on their website about open practice sessions to practice in my spare time, would you know anything more?
The plan is to open a page with regular track days. There are regular track evenings at whilton mill every Tuesday night during the summer, and stretton (Leicester) do a bike day on the last Sunday of every month. There are also several tracks around the country such as 'Fatcats' that do regular track days for bikes. you could be out on the bike every weekend if you wanted to.
Yes and no, racing is racing. We have the fastest riders in the UK... But our paddock is all about having a laugh and enjoying being out on the bikes. We are like a big family
In a series like this, if I come and say, hey, I'll do that! Will they go, hey, get on this scale... and ban me if I'm too much of a light weight? :D If not, I could rule the world! Same for gokarting! I could become the champion of the world! :O I'm such a light weight there would not be enough room on a gokart to add extra weight on to it to make it fair! lol
Its a light flickable 160cc 2 stroke supermoto on a tight technical track. What's wrong or strange about racing a 125cc bike? Labelling it a pit bike is really quite unfair given that the pit bike stereotype is a crap Chinese clone 50cc automatic in a tiny pseudo dirtbkie frame with about 2 hp. These things are capable of 70mph stock in the case of that 160 he was riding which isnt slow in any way in a track like that.
For a bike racer a 125 motorcycle is going to teach you a LOT, riding style, technical ability. Confidence in your lean as for speed really.... A 160 supermoto is doing 70-80 flat out. The largest class is a 450cc which would probably be spec able for 100mph if geared right. Niether of these things are actually slow. It's everything that bike racing used to be, light bikes that can be ridden hard with no gadgetry.
