So we know The Stranger was taking people before Donna met him and let himself be watched by Vivek, implying his target was ALWAYS to lure in Donna, via her friends. We also know that Donna is becoming less vulnerable to his powers. He also know Donna's family before it's brought up, and took Donna to the council building, so the slavery route seems unlikely. He also seemed to be testing early on the effect disappearing people had on Donna's family's emotional state. I think it probably is likely that he IS Donna's father, but I'm fairly certain he had her as an experiment rather than it being something out of love with her mother. She is his heir/prodigy, so he needs to remove all of her ties from the human world, he just wasn't gambling on her being quite so human or remembering. We know from the other alien on the train he is definitely old enough to be her father, so he may have been going to the council to register her as his daughter, but I have no idea what his goal is. I highly doubt she'll never see him again. If he can wait until she dies, he probably will.

He is just a toxic and controlling man that let his superpower corrupt his heart, thus he gets used to taking what he wants in life, everytime someone gets in the way of his dreamlife with Donna he makes them vanish from her memories so there's more love for him, so he thinks. ¨Probably believes that love is a limited resource, smh. Doesnt even care enough to properly execute them, they're all just floating in limbo lol. What a douche. As for his knowledge of her private life; if you've ever been in a relationship with a controlling possessive partner, that's what they do. They can't bond the normal way, the slow and healthy way to earn trust. If you're inlove with someone you want to know everything about them, some people will respect the process... others will force their way in your life. In the end he tried to manipulate her once more, to try to secure a future with her, even in the afterlife. He's desperate to gain her love, but couldn't grasp the universal truth that love can not be taken by force. As for age: older man simps for teenage girl, seduces her with money or power, comments from his peers always sound like "you could be her father!" since everyone understands they are so far apart in life experience it's clear to see how he mistakes lust for love and the relationship will be a wreck in no time. There's Lolita, American Beauty, and so on

i wish we learned WHY the stranger was so obsessed with donna??? or is the ending with john really that he's in a wheelchair and can't be employed?i really enjoyed this series, but that ending definitely left something to be desired for me imo.

Why? Because he wanted her for himself. Got so jealous for her attention he eliminated them all thinking that is what love is supposed to be. The stranger is an extremely powerful man, that let his power corrupt his heart. He was in love with Donna, but not the love that is balanced and gives freely, The Stranger only knows how to take the things he desires in life. But all he wanted was Donna just because she is Donna

I binged parts 1 & 2 today. This is the very best game I've seen you play. It is as good as watching a movie. The 3 stories are really good. My favorite is Meana's, almost a tie with John's. Incredible stories, good graphics, well developed characters, even the music is movie quality. I can't imagine any game beating this. Who the heck wrote this, and what else have they done? Thank you Morph, you honestly make every game better with your commentary, humour, and thoughtfulness. If I find a portal for time travel, I'm sending you an invite to join us.

I have been in bed all week sick and binge watching some of your content. First with the intent to find something interesting to play myself. But somehow it is nicer to have the feeling of experiencing these games with someone else I think. This was such a fun story. And your calm but engaging commentary really adds to the experience. man I needed a little bit more of what happened later with John and Jack. and there are so many more questions left to answer. but I guess this is how you end a game in case of a 2nd can be developed

Meena's still my enemy but things actually got interesting with her starting at Amy's house. The work intrigue was the start of things really getting good. I wish her plotline in the first half had been better. I was hoping at the end that The Stranger was playing a final trick and that Donna's family would be waiting for her anyway. I think it would've been more of a kicker for her to say no to him and then wake up in the morning to her family, knowing if she had trusted him she'd have signed her soul away for no reason.

Just watched your playthrough of this series. Amazing story! And amazing job on your part. I also like the fact you got a different ending than I did. I believe the Stranger was selling the people he took as slaves. At least the woman on the train alluded to that. If you notice the only humans under his house were Donna's friends and family. The rest were other aliens that he killed. Probably ones that annoyed or crossed him somehow.

Favourite story definitely John. I wonder if this is the same vape shop Jack told Amy about... Meena wanted to play martyr all this time. Now she can actually earn it. I feel like snake birds aren't a good design. All that wiggling has to make them less aerodynamic, right? I wonder what the alien's plan for his toxic love for Donna. Irving is my favourite character. He's an adorable treasure

1:27:14 The summary narration of Meena at the portal was absolutely the best. Well played, Morph. (potential Spoiler:) This game's end story was clearly inspired by the old games "The Longest Journey" and it's sequel "Dreamfall." They're worth looking into.

I can’t believe I missed this out! Binged 1st and 2nd parts these days, and I like it. It deserves much more views. Both the game itself and your playthrough and commentary are stellar! Enjoy it so much, don’t want to stop. The plot takes rather unexpected turns. I have only an hour of video left and I already miss it and want to watch all over again 😅 It’s so good.

Euhm, somebody help me? How did I, a 30yo Belgie end up listening to a Brit across the channel for hours on end and catching myself doing ugly giggles and stuff while I'm just working on silly little junk journals for myself and picking bits of glue of my fingertips ??? I've never even felt the urge to play video games, let alone watching playthroughs ?!? I had no idea the storylines and characters in games could be so layered like reading a book! Let this rhapsodic statement count as a positive, for sure, mister! I was typing this comment and you see, I got distracted by the dried glue on my hands so lemme just fix childlike serotonine boost now and get back to peeling them off. So satisfying!

Have you ever heard of Dreamfall Chapters? Part of The Longest Journey Saga. It's an adventure game set in two parallel worlds- scientific cyberpunk and magical fantasy. Your choices affect the story. Even if you don't do a playthrough, you might find it worth checking out 💜

the dynamic with the ultimatum from the powerful being at the end really reminded me of something out of an ancient mythological story. Greek or Roman maybe? It feel sooooooo familiar and old somehow, you know what i mean.?

Did they make that ending a week before release? The more I think about it the dumber it gets. *spoilers* The only way to make sense of that "trial" is to assume that the aliens are super racist against humans. After all, two of them came there fo business trips and one was kidnapped and trafficked there. Yet when the guy that kidnapped her is stabbed by the victim, all of them are put on trial, and John had nothing to do with it even if you count the other woman as an accomplice. He wiped dozens of people out of existance on earth, and one on their planet, on top of the kidnapping, and they don't want to even listen to those involved. Just assume the worst, call them invaders, and sentence them to death. And if he isn't really dead at the end, then the stabbing was just an assault. And I have to assume Samantha has a massive case of Stockholme syndrome or was brainwashed, otherwise it makes no sense that she would want to stay in such a racist society. And then there's those unsatisfactory endings, where one person is blackmailed for witnessing a murder and not reporting it and one is offered a Faustian deal. The only decent one was Jack and John. It feels like an incomplete first part of a trilogy, where they gave up on writing at the end.

I don't think they are racist. I think this is not the first time they have experienced humans being horrible and especially since they have access to the human world and probably see all the shit we do to each other. They are closed minded but they did not treat Samantha like she was a criminal just after other humans did something bad. Also it's very weird how people use the word racist out of its context of race especially when discrimination is a perfect word for what they often mean
