Thank you for your kind words. I belong to the Marakwet people. They are a sub-division of the Kalenjin community. In the video I'm saying that I'm a Kalenjin from Eldoret. Eldoret is the main town for the home of Kalenjins. It is situated in the Rift Valley area in the north west of Kenya. It's a 15 to 18 hour bus ride from Eldoret to Mombasa, and then another 2 hours to get to Diani.
…and just for reference, Kalenjins are our national heroes in Marathon running (Kipchoge, Kipyegon and Kiptum are some marathon champions that come from this community). And Eldoret (and its environs) is the town where they originate from.
As a Moroccan, I am proud of my African continent and its great people. Happiness and love are in Africa, not elsewhere, because we live simplicity and meet each other as if we were one family, and I have not seen this in Europe or elsewhere, as some neighbors do not even speak to each other, and each one has his door closed. If the West thinks that we are poor and from the third world, then our hearts are rich in the goodness and happiness that they lose because of the change in their culture and the traditions of their ancestors. I totally get what he is saying. I visited Kenya in 2016 and I fell in love with the place. The people were so friendly and willing to share of the little that they had. I have travelled to many countries and by far my trip to Kenya is one I cherish.
