Yo, Cedry2k started rapping in '97. He was meeting, rapping, and exchanging hip-hop cassettes in Tineretului Park - Bucharest with other Romanian underground hip-hop legends like DOC(LDoctor), Vlad Dobrescu, Deliric1, Brugner, Carbon(narcoBranco), Nwanda, Smogg, DJ Paul, Prozak, Herbert, etc. He is the founding member of Armada crew, and in the beginning, he was rapping together with the other members Herbet and Haitasu. In '98, old Armada, recorded a song called "Florile cuvantului" with Drepturi Egale and Freakadadisk which was included on the mixtape "Marpha Hip-Hop III". In '99 Armada changed their group members (Cedry2k, Vlad Dobrescu, DJ Paul, Smogg, Prozak). Cedry2k is the co-founder of Facem Records label and in-between '99-01 they released on the market their first mixtapes "Facem records vol.1" and "Facem records vol.2" produced by Vlad Dobrescu and DJ Paul under the same label. It included various artists like E.L.I.T.A (Deliric1, LDoctor, II-Zece, Nwanda), Methadon 3000, Carbon, Brugner, raku. In my opinion, Cedry2k is the best rapper in Romania since his lyrics are complex using a lot of metaphors and giving a message that makes you think twice. Never missed his concerts and I can't decide which album is better. I highly recommend Cedry2k - Terapie de soc.

Great video! Definitely don't stop listening to the rappers you listened to in the last 4-5 videos. This kind of old-school rap is amazing, but to really get the full experience you need to understand the lyrics, they give some clever word plays, some of them play double entendre. If you're looking for some cold hard bars, you've found gold, my dude. On the other hand, I'll say this and risk getting attacked by the diehard old-school rappers here, but I find that trap is also acceptable. I feel like most old-school rap listeners are way too set on the fact that music NEEDS to send a message and forget that some music just needs a vibe. Definitely listen to Amuly at urbanist session, maybe try Ian & Azteca.

Cedry2k's first solo album came out in 2007 called Venom's Alchemy, an absolute undeground rap masterpiece. But he also appeared in CTC's 2002 album The Secret from the Atom, which I think was his actual debut.

You should definitely try Cheloo - Smoke Flow. This song was released in 2006 and it's one of the best sounding one I've heard in English from a Romanian rapper.
