Your videos are especially useful to me because I am Deaf and learning BSL as an adult, and especially learning how to understand sentences, it is good to look at people signing. I am learning a lot from youtube.

I'm teaching myself i have complete a BSL online course watching your videos is realy helping me with sentence structure and keeping things fresh in my mind I would realy love to excel so I'm good enough to be a interpreter and also lose the barrier between the hearing and the deaf we should be able to communicate I'm a big believer that signing should be part of the school curriculum if children were taught from a young age this awful barrier wouldn't exist so thank u for all your help your videos are fantastic 😊

Thank you for posting this, I'm taking ASL in college at the moment and I was interested in what the difference was. I'm so glad many of the signs are the same!

Yes some signs we have in bsl are the same as asl but not all, asl is closer to English Structure while bsl isn't English at all example we sighn " off you where" we sighn fact first question last so its not the same where as when you're sighning ASL you sign how a hearing person would talk which is why it's easier for most countries to learn it. The closest we have in England to ASL is SSE( sighn supported English) which is signing English but for those with implants who are learning to talk.

Thankyou for these videos! Theyre really helpful for me trying to teach myself from home, and the phrases are useful because the grammar from sign and written English are so different (or it seems)

Is all the heavy breathing and exhaling necessary?

I don't think so, sometimes it's just easier for deaf people to understand. As long as you are doing something that indicates or follows what you're signing, like mouthing or using body language or expressions, they should be able to understand you

Yes because it's part of facial expression which adds to the sighn example angry you puff you're cheeks out, or if youre discribing a slim person you suck in your cheeks and make a whistle noise. If there is no expression or movent of your face someone deaf cannot tell what your trying to put across which is why it's very important, without it is like talking with a flat voice they don't understand what you mean, just remeber it may not make sense to you but it helps them out a lot to understand the sign
