What a story that man has! It’s so good to see him showing up and balling again though. Shame injuries took away a potential legacy as the youngest MVP ever tho.
Some background... Derrick Rose was an elite player who was hurt a few years ago. Afterwards, he had a hard time playing at an elite level, so the game was special to see him regain his form. Klay Thompson is every bit as deadly from long range as Steph Curry. The Golden State Warriors are blessed to have the 2 best shooters out there. ( By the way. Kobe Bryant once outscored (62-61) the other team by himself over 3 quarters before being taken out of the game. He also outscored the Toronto Raptors in a second half on his way to scoring 81 points. The best play of last year was Alex Caruso's put back dunk over Kevin Durant. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OEUl_tBgOPk.html
DRose was hurt more than a few years ago now. Also IDK if that Caruso Dunk is the best. It's great though. Dam sending the Thunder home was great too though
Here’s my recommendations on great individual players with great highlights: 1. Allen iverson (like the ronaldinho of basketball) 2. Kobe Bryant 3. Lebron James 4. Kyrie Irving (best handles of the NBA) 5. Russel Westbrook (imo most electric player) 6. Giannis Antetekoumpo ( the current MVP) 7. Kawhi Leonard (superb defense) 8. James harden (has a crossover that ended a guys career) 9. Larry Bird (old school but amazing and creative) 10. Shaq ( the most dominant force in nba history) Big fan of your stuff good luck to your channel, cheers,
The Golden State Warriors calling a timeout when they don’t have any timeouts and getting a technical foul because they don’t have any timeouts. This aloud the Toronto Raptors to shoot a free throw and allow them to win there first ever NBA championship in franchise history.
That Derrick Rose clip is top 10 of all time! He was the youngest player to win MVP in 2011 but then struggled for the next 6 years through serious injury after injury and a deep depression which saw him leave the game for a season. That 51 point game was in his comeback season making a point of the fact that he'd bounced back nearly entirely. He's not an MVP caliber player anymore, but it's great to see him back in the league thriving. Incredible story
Context wise: the most impressive moment was in the second round of the playoffs game 7 (winner moves on) with Kawhi Leonard's buzzer better to win the game. This was the first time ever something like this happened.
Derrick Rose was an MVP and the next season he tore his ACL then he struggled to play for years and he had crazy amounts of injuries and then one season he started balling out again
It's not in any highlight videos really but if you are impressed by Curry's shooting, Look up Klay Thompson's 37 point quarter video. Same team. They are known as "The Splash Brothers."
Dude these videos are awesome because believe it or not the most Americans know about foreigners is that soccer is their main sport. We are under the assumption that our sports mean nothing to them. Your videos really make people happy to know that anyone can appreciate a sport for what it is.
In your studies of the NBA be sure to watch highlight reels of the great point guards like Manu Ginobili and Steve Nash (hometown hero of mine). Recently stumbled upon your channel and it's really refreshing and funny to watch you discover the NBA, MLB, NHL and NFL for the first time. Cheers from Vancouver, Canada
You should watch a Lebron James career montage, right now he’s a bit older and passes more but he used to just be a insane dunking machine dropping 40 points a game
Out of this specific video the most meaningful performance was probably Droses. He was one of the best players in the league until numerous leg and knee injuries basically ended his out of this world athleticism. He was thinking of retirement and most people thought he was washed until he put up a 50 point game for the Timberwolves
The klay Thompson clip was important because it was the most 3a in NBA history and the Derrick rose highlights were because Derrick rose was robbed of his career by terrible injuries after he became a beloved player in a very short time. He was incredible and people truly love him so to see him come back and put on that performance was really special
The biggest shot last season was Kawhi Leonard’s in the eastern conference finals. The game was tied and it was a 1 possession game. The gets the inbound pass, dribbles round the arc and towards the corner, rises up with ben simmons there to contest with embiid extending out too to contest and shoots... 3 bounces later it falls through sending the Toronto Raptors to the NBA finals where they go on to win the championship! Incredible moment.
In a normal basketball court you find at the gym as an example, the three point line is at the semi circle next to the free throw line, in the nba is pushed back hack even more
Bro it's no joke. The reason Derrick Rose was crying in this clip was because he was the league MVP in his rookie year. He was going to take over everything. He got hurt and teams traded him around a lot. Then out of nowhere in this clip he has a 40 point allsar level game. He's been putting up Allstars numbers ever since. Everybody in the basketball community both loves and wants to see him succeed.
The craziest moment is either the kawhi game 7 game winning shot or the damian lillard game winner in the playoffs that made them go to the next round they were both great
To answer your question about the importance of these plays. The Derrick Rose one was important because he went from a MVP player to someone who was probably questioning retirement before he turned 30 because of a terrible injury which turned to more injuries. The importance came in the fact that he scored 50 and made people think Derrick Rose is back, but he isn't as much as a dunker as he once was, but he is averaging (I believe) around 20 points per game. But the most important play that won a team a championship was Kawhi Leonard's game winning buzzer beater on the 76ers in game 7. If Kawhi missed they would go into overtime and risk losing. Kawhi made it and sent the Raptors to the NBA finals and they won.
If you're going to react to a Derrick Rose video, you should react to "Derrick Rose - Windy City Assassin ". It has some great highlights and it tells what he's been through.
Derek Rose was the MVP of the league in 2011. For about 3 years he was one of the top 5 players in the NBA. He would’ve had an incredible career but he kept getting injured. He had a ton of major injuries that for the most part derailed his career. He soon became just an average player after being the best in the league, but that one game it looked like he had become his old self again and scored 50 points.
From the playoffs of the 18-19 season, you need to watch highlights of the Toronto raptors run. For sure the most important shot of the year was Leonard’s game 7 winner in the second round of the playoffs. That season for the team was an extraordinary run, especially when they came back from being down 2 games in the conference final. 🏆
Derrick Rose dropping 50 points He suffered a torn ACL which is basically a career ending injury in the NBA, but him dropping 50 just made EVERY NBA fan a sense of nostalgia and joy to see a glimpse of the old Derrick Rose. The torn ACL didn’t completely destroy his career, he just lost his extreme athleticism which kind of effected and dampened his game.
The guy who scored 52 points, Klay Thompson is playing on the same team with Steph Curry. Both of em was called the Splash Brother cuz theyre love to shooting from deep and has change the game of basketball itself 🔥
Derrick Rose was the youngest MVP in history. He was the #1 pick by his hometown team and he was the leader of the team and the best player for us since Michael Jordan. He had an almost unimaginable amount of speed and leaping ability. He did things that didn't even seem possible. Every team knew exactly what he was going to do, and the he did it anyway. He was absolutely amazing. But then injuries hit. He had a bunch of leg injuries and it effected his speed and power. Like Bo Jackson, his body just couldn't keep up with his explosive talent. He is still playing now, but nowhere near the same level as he was before the injuries. The game on the video was one of the few where we got to see that old talent come out again. D-Rose is one of the most beloved players in the game, so when that game happened, it was just about all anyone could talk about.
You don’t know the full story of Derrick Rose which makes the t wolves one less meaningful Derrick Rose was the youngest MVP in NBA history, but he got injured in 2012 and kept getting injured throughout his career. He contemplated retirement in 2017, but he decided to give it one more chance with the timber wolves. He dropped 50 that game on Halloween, which was his career high and it “revived” his career.
The steph curry one at the beginning was special because he made 13 threes in a game then the klay Thompson one was special because he beat currys record and made 14
The most important/highest impact moment of 2018/2019 season/postseason is deffinitely Kawhi Leonard buzzer beater in conference semifinals against Phila. It led the Raptors to conference finals end eventually to championship, and it is also very emotional due to the history of the series, that to the very end was really back and forth.
I think you would like college basketball playoffs. It's called March madness. It's a lot like the fa cup with small teams beating some of the big teams sometimes
What I like most about the NBA is that anyone on the floor might be capable of getting hot one night and putting up 50 or 60 points, almost single handedly winning a game. It doesn't happen all the time, but it isn't super unusual either. The blooper video that popped up is probably pretty funny. It's a high skill sport, so when it goes wrong the wheels can really come off.
The way you like this.. Put it on your calendar you MUST react to the NCAA college basketball tournament every March better known as March Madness. In my opinion it's the single most intense purest form of sports experience that the US. It goes on for a whole month. It involves across America all competing to be the last team standing because one loss and their dream for the year. Win 6 games in a row and you are the national champion and remembered forever. American don't take vacation but in office across the country people stop working and watch.. Your first assessment fill out your own tournament bracket. React to some videos that explain how to do it then get excited because you are going to have fun I can't wait to see you react about watching full games. Good on you for this channel
To give context, 2016 nba finals, its golden state vs Cleveland Cavaliers. Golden state was up 3 games to 1 in a 4 game series. Keep in mind that the warriors team at the time one 73 games breaking a record, considering there were only 82 games in the Season, the only lost 9 out of 82 games.. they were the clear decision to win the championship, but lebron james and the Cavaliers won the next 3 games, winning the nba championship and being the only team in nba history to come back from a 3 to 1 defacit in the finals, the clutch block and clutch 3 are the best plays of this decade
In case you didn't know the second best basketball league in the world is the Euroleague and there are many football clubs that has their own basketball clubs as well. For example Real Madrid is not only a football club they have a basketball club
Here’s some context of the highlights: Rose vs Jazz: Rose was an MVP in 2011 who fell due to injury, this was kind of like a glimpse as to what he could’ve been if he had not gotten injured Thompson vs Bulls: broke Curry’s record for most 3s in a game Griffin vs 76ers: another all star on the decline, sets his career high with this game Lebron vs Heat: 51 points against his former team Lebron vs Portland: first points as a Laker with the first dunk Murray vs Celtics: 48 points for such a young guy is incredible Curry vs Wizards: 51 points in only 3 quarters of playtime Other notable: Kawhi buzzer beater over 76ers in game 7, Lillard buzzer beater over OKC to close the series. Both of these were extremely important shots, other highlights are Giannis over Thon Maker and Mitchell alley-oop from O’Neal.
Rose( the guy you asked the name of) 50 point game was important. He was the most valuable player in 2011 but then struggled with some injuries ( a couple like 5 or something) that even one can end a career. He went from the best to one of the worst when he returned, and people doubted him. This game proved himself right, and is one of the best (if not the) best comebacks from injury in NBA history. Thus him crying at the end. Now he is seen as an average starting player which is a lot better than previously. (It would be like in football/soccer if early in his career Ronaldo got injured before he truly blossomed and was forced from playing the sport, only to make a comeback as an average player when 99% of the people said the injuries were too bad where he would never take the field again)
I’ll never get over the size and athleticism of pro basketball players. Just your everyday basketball player, average height is 6’7” some of these guys are 7 feet tall running around jumping 40 inches etc. It’s insane. Also, you should react to Zion Williamson top dunks. His size and the way he freakin floats is beyond physics
Dude...this is missing the craziest shot of the year. Kawhi Leonard in the playoffs, for the Raptors, making the final shot at the buzzer and it bounces like 3 times on the rim before dropping.
If you want to watch a defensive minded player watch Jevon Carter defensive highlights in college. He isn’t a big name but he was really good and played for my favorite college team
hey man love the videos, if u love the baseball plays i recommend u watching a nolan arenado baseball highlight video (ps: he went to my high school lol)
Kawhi Leonards game winner against the 76ers was probably the most important. It was the game winner in game 7 which ultimately led to them winning the championship. It was also a crazy incredible shot. Unfortunately it wasn't in this video.
